    One eye closed?

Update: My chameleon still won't open his eye, even with rinsing a couple times a day. He eats just fine and acts completely normal otherwise.

Thanks enigmacell and reptoman. It's nice actually hearing from people that experienced this instead of people speculating.

He just said to keep an eye on him for the next couple days and keep flushing it. If it's not better soon I'll probably go get a second opinion somewhere else.

    One eye closed?

I took him to the vet today just to make sure nothing serious was wrong with his eye. The vet rinsed his eye out and he kept it open after that. He said that there were no signs of infection or any scratches that he could see. Well on the way home (I had him covered cause it's cold here) he fell...

    One eye closed?

Well I flushed his eye out with water and he finally opened it completely for maybe a total of 5 minutes and now it's back to being closed. His eye looked completely normal. I did not see any signs of infection.

Sterile is just a term used for meaning that it has never touched human hands and that it is free from any contaminates. Yeah there are salt mixtures: .9 NS and also .45 NS but there is also just pure sterile water. I would have used a more accurate term if I knew we were going into details...

I agree with everyone else. If you can't afford a vet don't buy a animal.

    My panther chameleon

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know what the cheapest I could get a Nosy Be from or point me in the right direction in breeders. The pet store rarely gets panther's in so I doubt they will have any for a while.

    My panther chameleon

I've been pretty lucky with him so far... He enjoys coming out of his cage and has never puffed up at me. I guess he trusts me a lot too because while he is sitting on my hand I can spray his leaves and he will drink while on me. Sometime soon I would like to get a male Nosy Be.

Here are a few pictures of my panther chameleon that I got about a month ago. I bought him from a local exotic pet store that got him from a...
