So, should I just leave the crickets in there and let him go hungry tell he decides to eat them? Don't want to make him go w/o food since he went for a long period w/o eating.
I'm reordering silkworms and hornworms in the mean time.
Hi everyone, my cham wasn't feeling too good for 2.5 weeks and was sick but now he's back to his old self and eating good. Ate 2 silkworms, 5 hornworms (2+ inches), 5 crickets and I think a superworm in the last week.
I made a cricket trap for him because before it was hard to monitor exactly...
So now that my guy is back on track I have another question, if he hasn't been eating for 2.5 weeks and started eating three days ago how long should it be tell he poops?
He's been drinking and eaten 5 crickets, 2 silkworms, and 3 hornworms (2 inch+) along with the small amount of flukers...
Update:
Gave him 2 hornworms today, he gobbled both down and gave him his anti-biotics later on. Think he's getting back on track!
He seemed to like the silkworms but unfortunately...

Looking Better
Update: Talked to vet, she said continue with baytril, etc.
Yesterday:
Gave him a shower yesterday and some flukers insectivore emergency aid. Tried opening his mouth and putting a whole cricket in, he ate 2! :)
Had to go to school to take finals so it was too late when I got...
Haha that's awesome! sounds like a great experience. He is around 190 gm now.
He always has a darker color lately, particularly around the eyes/face could this be a result of the nausea?
The vet talked about "Chameleon critical care" all I've seen is Critical Care Formula on the internet...
The dosage on the baytril is 5 mg/mL. Thanks so much for you help and concern I really appreciate it. It's just hard finding good care for him around here, Las Cruces is in the middle of the desert so it's hard to find a vet that has seen very many chameleons and even the vets with experience in...
!!! Think he prolapsed
I'm so upset, :( I've been doing everything I can and giving him fluids, showers, got new humidifier to increase humidity, trying to feed him.
Right now I let him get sun outside after the shower and it looks like he passed another sperm plug. He wiped it on the tree...
Nope no vet school near me. I think he was hot yesterday and went to the bottom to cool down. Having a serious prob with humidity in the room, I cleaned and sterilized his whole cage and set up yesterday and unfortunately broke my ultrasonic humidifier i just started to use so now Im back to a...
I know people on here have regular lives and are just trying to help, and I thank everyone for looking at it. I just think I typed too much and people were having trouble with it.
Will not make any other threads.
He's in the shower right now drinking a lot, still dark though. Wasn't "lying...

After 3rd vet trip still looking for help
Since I gave him the cricket/ pedialyte mix through a syringe yesterday he seems to have a much stronger grip and moves around a little bit but still likes to just it next to the back of the cage and stare out the window.
Ok, I took him to the vet...
Lol, I hear you on the bank account dark abyss, college student here using loan money. I know, luckily I have located a vet clinic in El Paso, TX about an 1 - 1.5 hr trip for me and will be taking him there tomorrow.
The vet is supposed to be an exotics specialist w/ experience in reptiles...
Cham isn't moving now, When I put him back in his cage yesterday after giving him some sun I almost had to force him off my hand.
He's been in the same place since 5 yesterday and just staring outside through the window. Not eating and I made the dripper literally drip on him didn't see him...
In concern 4 I addressed the bump, vet punctured it with a needle. Must have been a cyst, clear liquid came out it's fine now. Calcium probably low cuz I cant get him to eat. did you looked at last post?
Help anyone?
Put him up today after putting an eye drop in and he kept trying to grab his front legs with the back ones. Hasn't moved since I put him up..
Long post, but please take a look!! Need help with Milton!

Concern #1: Not Eating
My cham has barely eaten in the last 2 weeks and has had...
First off, thank you both for trying to help me out with this. I'm really thankful you are both giving good advice.
I have a follow up with the vet tomorrow and am going to ask for some of the prednisolone acetate, I was hesitant about the atropine sulfate anyways, and it turns out the...
