I have had her for just under a year. She loves to eat crickets and dubia roaches. She eats like a champ. She has not laid eggs yet. She just completed a shed.
I am being sent out of the country for work and I'll be gone for at least 6 months and most likely at least a year.
I am selling...
I appreciate it. I have more to add, I just have to find the time to do it. She has a real temper and doesn't like me invading her privacy. So the stars need to align in order for me to be ready to add to her enclosure and for her not to be on her branches so I can add to it.
Yes she is, and she is using the cage more as well. Still not as much as she used to but she's willing to. Once the 14 inches of snow we got yesterday clears, I'll go branch hunting to find some more branches that fit the chair caps I purchased (4 different sizes.)
Thanks again for the advice!
Thanks for the advice, and thanks to @JacksJill for the great idea to use chair legs to hold the branches in place. I started on updating the cage this weekend. I didn't get it all done yet but here are the 2 new branches and you can see how they are held in place with the caps and floral wire.
Not at all, she walks all over the branches, vines, and plant (real and fake) in the enclosure. She doesn't struggle to walk at all, but she won't chase crickets on the cage anymore.
I've noticed for the last 3 days, my female panther seems uncomfortable with climbing on the cage. Up until Sunday, she would attack crickets no matter where they were. Now she stays about 4 inches from the cage and picks them off from there. When she does get on the cage, she is very...
Looks like a beautiful boy! I agree with the above, I would not put anything in the box or container due to fear of injury. I drove a cham in a box with air holes for 90 minutes and I saw her claws sticking out of the holes the entire ride.
Looking to see if there is a cham sitter out there in Monmouth county or nearby. I usually have a buddy take care of my animals when I go away but he busted his ankle and is unavailable for at least 8 weeks.
I'm looking for somebody to cham sit from 2/14 - 2/19.
Please PM me if you are able...
Named Chamelea by my kids, she still only eats crickets but is growing very nicely. She has shed 3 times in the last 2 months. She has completely ignored horn worms, wax worms, dubia's and super worms.
I think next I will try some type of fly.
As you can see, she isn't always the happiest...
And she hates to be handled at this point. I wanted to do some re-arranging (I built a climbing structure and tried to put it in the cage) today and she freaked out.
I work for a company that has offices all over the US and then all over the world. A co-worker / friend was asked to take a trip to India for 2 weeks. Then it turned into 6 weeks and now it's at least 2 years. When he purchased the chameleon, he had no idea about the trip. Since I have owned...
She eats every cricket i put in the cage, however she has ignored meal worms, horn worms, and wax worms. The horn worm moved while in the cage but she didn't care. I put crickets and meal worms in a cup and she picked out all the crickets and left the worms.
Any ideas on how I can get her...
