I think he’s going to have some orange whether it be dark or light I can’t tell, his colors aren’t fully matured but he looks like he is developing some orange.
It’s hard to…the waiting game of waiting for colors to pop is hard to handle 😂🤣
We are undecided with the name Rio. It’s not that we...
This is Rio, he is a juvenile Veiled a chameleon I got him from FLChams.com he still pretty timid but very much so full of life.
Experience with FL Chams:
Was very easy the Owner stayed in contact the whole even when there was shipping delays he got in contact with his rep right away so I...
Thank you everyone, it’s been a rough 2 weeks but I’ve dusted myself off and I’m off to the new Chameleon.
Leon wouldn’t want his space just sitting around all vacant he would want another chameleon in his place to be repulsed by my presence just like him and his predecessors, Jade.
The new...
Update. I had Leon’s appointment. Unfortunately Leon was euthanized. We did an xray that showed a mass at the back of his oral cavity.
We sent that mass off and it came back as Lymphoma.
Weird I never really considered a chameleon getting lymphoma but it’s a living being and I guess they...
I wasn’t very specific, I was just putting what the label said expecting the world to read my mind.
I’d never do that to my chameleon.
My snake yes, my leopard gecko sometimes. My chameleon never.
Let me reiterate what I mean when I say soak.
I don’t take Leon and throw him in a bowl of water and say have a great swim bud, I put the electrolyte soak in his water basin for his mist king. And when he comes in 2-3 times a day to drink because I don’t blast him with the hose I bring him in...
It is a veterinarian that sees reptiles and was recommended to me for my chameleon. Because I have been skeptical since chams are a misunderstood species and I’m most definitely not asking that specialist anything else about Leon.
I am going to push for X-rays see if anything shows up there...
About a week ago I posted on here looking for some advice on what could be ailing my Leon. I said I’d post an update so here we are.
Before I get started I definitely don’t need any ninjas coming after me for any unpopular opinions. Thanks for your understanding!
If you don’t remember Leon...
I thought about just leaving him outside today and tonight give him a chance to just be away from it.
It looks like it’s going to be a low of 70 degrees tonight.
Currently it’s 82 with 70% humidity. It’s nice and breezy out there for him and he’s exploring everything.
I REALLY REALLY Do...
He is currently outside in his outside set up, he hasn’t had any problems at all. Both eyes open, not opening his mouth to breathe. Active climbing around and such. It’s a mostly shaded partially sunny area right now. Around 1 or 2 the sun will be on that area fully and I’ll move his cage out of...
I have already done this. I got rid of all the dirt. All the custodial crew is now free outside somewhere.
I wiped everything down. I’m currently I am pulling branches and vines from outside to stick in there. His plant was washed down as well. Everything was washed top to bottom.
It was cleaned it was fully emptied out wiped down cleaned up and reset up I bought new bulbs everything was new to him going into it.
She died of gout.
I can and will absolutely get rid of all of that drainage area to. It was mostly a set up for my female she laid her eggs in it.
She was in there for about a year. But when I bought her she was sick I knew she wasn’t going to live I am shocked she lived as long as she did honestly.
Then my...
So the very bottom is a drainage tray. Then a screen (dragon strand hybrid tall cage) then a drainage rock layer, than the dirt.
There are little iso pods, there are spring tails, worms. They’re all reproducing going to town.
I use the Arcadia feeding program. So the Earth pro A, calcium magnesium, and D3.
I did get him to take a few crickets powdered with it. However, if the b vitamins aren’t a cure than what do I do?
He’s almost gotta have the antibiotics.
