Thanks of the perspective. Yep, even a few of the jar food ones died on me! I'm hoping to hear from others about how they have leaf-fed in their own experience to see what the best practice is on that. I almost feel like the large leafs I introduced were too thick for the baby teeth on the...
Kind of a dumb series of questions, but here goes: I bought a container of tiny silkworms and decided to test leaf feeding vs the jar food they came with and had mixed results. A few feeding off of fresh leaves in a large Tupperware tub grew healthy and fast but several melted away and died...
Luckily, my daughter has a bearded dragon, so he’s been getting the leftovers (from the feeding cup). The escapees have been getting caught in the puddle at the bottom of the cage (RIP) and cleaned up at bedtime. Cage floor is dry and crickets are all gone at bedtime. But, agree to not put...
His name is "Goose" and came from Kammerflage Creations (who are simply awesome). Thank you for the link. I have listened to most of Bill Strand's podcasts which have been super helpful. I will go ahead add a few more to the morning feeding cup and he can go nuts! Thanks~
My juvenile panther (hatched 9/14/23) has a robust appetite and easily eating 20+ 1/4" crickets each day by noon (gut loaded crickets are added each morning). Do I give him a second feeding and let him eat to his heart's content or cut it off? I figure throwing 10 more in the early afternoon...
Perfect. I am feeding ~15-20 a day, 1/4" - 5/16" / day, give or take and he is eating what I would guess is right about 15. My panther chameleon is almost 4 mos. old. Today is Day 5 in his "forever home" and he seems to be doing great. Very alert/active.
Hi all,
Quick question: what is the best practice for crickets languishing in the feeder cup uneaten? My juvenile seems to have eaten his fill and has moved on to basking and exploring. What's the best practice for uneaten feeders? Take them out or leave them there for a possible snack later...
I’m new to this hobby (and community) and want to ask since it’s mentioned here: is a slight amount of moisture/humidity in an incubator ok or should there be none at all?
