I dont see anything behind the feet but im not sure because sometimes when mele gets dull colored there appears to be bigger stripes rather then patches. So I'm conflicted.

I wouldn't blame yourself but he does need to go to a vet right away. His eyes are sunken in which is a clear sign of dehydration and other illnesses.
