Hello Forum!!
Have not posted in a long time but.... had a lol moment this morning and had to share. I figure this is the one place that ppl will 'get' it.
The struggle to keep crickets from escaping into my apartment, and sometimes even out into the hallway to others apartments, has...
Female Veiled Chameleon approx 2 yrs 4 months old. This was her 3rd clutch of unfertilized eggs.
The first 2 clutches went smooth. She gave us plenty of warning signs a week or so before she started to dig... restlessness, not eating as much, didn't poop. She took about 12 hours to dig and...
My female veiled does not like purple. When I wear a purple shirt she turns dark and will turn totally sideways on the stick she is standing on, as though she's hiding behind the stick. She's always disliked purple... and certain shades of pink. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I feel bad throwing them away to :( lol. She did work very hard. Good luck with all your girls Paradalis! And thanks for the reassurance from everyone.
Sorry to have let you down Seeco. I was just trying to find answers to my questions.
She's finished!! I've showered her off and she's eaten 4 butter worms covered in calcium. she's basking now but hasn't drank much yet. she's staring at her dripper though. I uncovered 30 eggs! I'm so proud of her. lol. How do I know that was all of them? What should I do with the eggs? Just into...
I've tried searching but..... whats the best way to go about giving her a "shower." Someone had mentioned a sink? Should I just place her in the sink and turn on the tap? Should it be turned to the sprayer? Should she be right under it? what temp should the water be?
I can still hear her moving sand around. i think she must be just covering the hole though. the waiting is horrible! i have a blanket up around the bottom half of her cage and i'm sitting here on the couch listening to the scratching. scratch scratch scratch.......pause...... "is she done? is...
My female veiled (aged 12 - 15 months) began digging today around noon for the first time. She continued digging until about 6pm. She is now turned around in the hole and appears to be sleeping. I've only been able to sneak a quick look at her using the light from my cellphone but her face looks...
We haven't held her since she became so defensive except to give her a warm shower yesterday. We have never forced her to sit on our hands or grabbed her from the back. We have always held out our hand for her to come to.
Yes. She has a large circular pail that covers about 1/4 of the bottom of her cage filled with a 50/50 sand/coconut husk. She has not gone down to the bottom of her cage at all that I've seen.
No substrate.
No wheezing or clicking but a little while ago she spat out a bunch of clear...
just me and my boyfriend. we are both at work during the day. i've put towels up along the bottom half of her cage just in case she is looking for more privacy.
forgot to add that she has not been hanging out near the bottom of the cage at all. when we try to get her to go near the bottom (either place her there or offer a worm near the bottom) she heads straight back up to the top again.
