    Possibly have spoiled my boy

Hello ! I just wanted to reach out and see if anybody else has experienced something like this and what they did. I have a (i think) 6 month old male veiled and he has been having some eating problems. About four weeks ago I tried to switch him off crickets to dubias and he just did not seem...

The Extra Large is HERE !!

I have only seen him really basking basking once so far, but it has only been about 24 hours at this point, and it was a little bit of a battle getting him out of the other cage he did not want to come peacefully so I have been trying to not be in my room as much as I can. He has taken a liking...

    Veiled acting very strange

I am going to wait until I am moving him and then see what I can do with the tail shed, I feel like its probably best not to take him out today and mess with him just to put him back in and then grab him again when its time to move but thank you for the tip of covering my hand with something. I...

    Veiled acting very strange

Thank you for all of this ! I have actually been trying to exact same thing with the waxworms ! I also do have a little camping chair right out front of his cage that I have been sitting in a lot to do homework. Since he has been on a little bit of a hunger strike I have laid off the waxworms to...

    Veiled acting very strange

Here is my care sheet from the other post. Your Chameleon- The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? I think he is around 5 months old (No clue though), I have had him about a month. Handling- How often do you handle your chameleon? I have only handled...

    Veiled acting very strange

Hello ! I posted a thread here a little bit ago about my veiled and trying to switch him from crickets to dubias and not eating. I accepted the fact that the crickets need to stay until he is a little older, and about a day after I posted that thread he started shedding...

    Hunger Strike reposted

Yeah I got some crickets yesterday and then happily ate like 3 large ones very quickly and then seemed kinda done with me, and wouldn't eat anymore. Probably because I was all up in his business cleaning the cage, adjusting the mister, and staring at him all day making sure he ate. That was...

First of all I would like to say thank you, you and everybody else have been nothing but incredibly kind and helpful. This forum is amazing. Thinking about it now I would guess he fell. The bamboo stalk which I am now taking out was tipped over, and it was back in the corner that he enjoyed to...

    Hunger Strike reposted

Hey I thought I would repost this on the general discussion board because I am beginning to become more worried. Today he ate one roach and did not seem interested in any others, still excitedly ate his hornworms, and the chin spot seems darker today. All other behavior seems completely normal...

    Hunger strike and mouth/chin discoloration

Hello ! I just wanted to get recommendations on what the best way to go about this is. I recently decided I wanted to try and stop feeding crickets for multiple different reasons, and try and switch to dubias and my boy is not having it. Before he would normally eat 8-10 crickets, 1-2 dubias...

New veiled care questions (asked correctly this time)

Yes very similar he just doesn’t really have his bright yellows like that yet. But black on the body in a pattern like that, and all the grey on the head replaced with black just like that, whew thank you.

    Darker coloration only while sleeping

Checked back about an hour and a half later because I can’t sleep and no black on body and much less on the head . Reptifogger may be outta here, it doesn’t even get humidity above the usual levels anyways need to find something better

    Darker coloration only while sleeping

Thank you seriously, I turned off the fogger as of now because I can’t get above 50% humidity regardless and the plants keep it at 45% anyways lmao

    Darker coloration only while sleeping

Could it be light disturbances ? I have been covering his cage with a very thin flag after lights of if I have my lamp on so that the two sides that are actually facing my room have towel and flag to try and reduce light .
