I’m unsure whether salad greens are toxic to chameleons or not

So I found out that my chameleon is only black when it’s close to the ground of its tank, I noticed when it goes high up behind some plants it turns green, for some reason it turns brown when it’s hot as well

I just got a veiled chameleon form pet o around 2 weeks ago, ever since I brought it home it’s been dark most of the time, the age and gender is unknown as of now
