    My bad, I had mistyped that, I meant 18” uvb, I have a small halogen heat lamp that is 50 watt day light blue, both are on for 12 hours a day.

    I was able to handle her the second week I had her at 1 month old, she just enjoys climbing from hand to hand, or just climbing up my arm, or even just sitting snd not moving, in my case I guess handling was a building block to hand feeding

    I would recommend not switching her out of her current cage while Gravid, especially if she had already scoped out some places to dig up if you have areas for her to do so. I also use 2x2x4 repti breeze, great cage! I would just set up the new one and wait for her to lay, either way she’s going...

    I finally got bitten!

    Very very rarely their bites break skin thankfully but yes I guess you can be considered to be part of a elite group haha! How had MBD came along?

    Thoughts on UVB...

    Personally I only use 18” 15 watt heat lamps and keep it about 7” above my chameleons basking area and sleeping area.

    If you want to hand feed your chameleon but he/she doesn’t seem interested or seems scared, give them as much time as they need, my cham just turned 9 months old and it took her all the way until yesterday to eat from my hand!!! Be patient with them with everything, they eventually will ease...
