My veiled chameleon is laying her clutch as we speak, she has been busy all day all over the place but can hear her digging away. Her lights are on still and am wondering if I still shut them off at night while she lays? I think she slept in her bin last time with the lights off and all was fine...
Yes, she is a veiled. Her little nose is dirty and her front facial area, do I just leave it? lol Like they have people washing their faces in their own habitat. ;) She came running for her feeding today like she was starving so of course my instinct was to say "oh my gosh she is starving from...
Hello, I have to say that having my girl lay her first clutch was very stressful  I felt like a mid-wife lol. She didn't see me though and figured I would ask what people typically do after the eggs are laid and she is up and about. Very tired, she ate 3 hornworms on Sunday morning. She...
Phew! I am so obsessive and she must be so sick of me looking at her and taking pics lol I first thought she was having eggs coming out because I have been thinking she was going to lay eggs since I have had her ;)
Hello...
I have a 7 month old female chameleon and today I noticed her belly with a peel part not quite near her "area" ( I think ) and am wondering what it is. Has anyone seen this before? She just went through a full shed a couple of weeks ago and not thinking it is that. Thoughts?
Hi all!! I have a question, so I placed this laying bin in her new cage a couple of weeks ago to have in there at all times for when she is ready. I thought she was already there but I also think I am so worried about everything that I over analyze and she isn't ready. Here is my question, how...
I did just mist when after I took this photo so I forgot to post the basking one. Her basking temp has gone down since I shut it off but right now it's 81 degrees on her basking area. Her feeders are gutloaded but typically the crickets only - I assumed that goop of food they put down on the...
I do have the window film on 3 sides, I am removing the foil now. As far as the bulb for the T5O It came with the hood and and the bulb says
'22 inch / 559mm reptisun 5.0 UVB f24T5/REPT
She is hiding right now but will post more photos later. This was from last night. I just saw her other...
She use to screen climb in her old cage, this one she doesn't. I have the lights about 6 inches away from her branch. We screened the entire inside so she is not able to touch the cage itself. I didn't think of her little feet getting burned... :( I just shut the basking light off.
I was told to put the foil on the outside of the cage to keep humidity inside. I have the window plastic ( to the outside ) on 3 sides as well. Before doing this I was not able to keep her humidity up above 40% during the day.
Hello everyone! So I'm obsessed with this forum and making sure I do everything right for Camilia. I see in the resource section along with suggestions that a cool mist humidifier was a great way to keep humidity up ( at night ) . The photo below is what I purchased a couple of months ago and...
I think my girl is going to lay eggs very soon, I have prepared her cage with a laying bin but in doing so I think I just created more stress on her and am so nervous she is going to get egg bound. Also I just realized I gave her no other room at the bottom for live plants..( photos...
Dang it! I have been feeding mine mealworms. Ugh! I am literally going to the store after this and purchasing all the vitamins and staple feeders. I can't lose this lil gem.
