I am not sure of mama's history so I don't know if she has had any prior to this clutch. I guess in a few more months I will know.😄 Yes I have cut her food back some after 3 days of having the babies. They have had fruit flies and waiting on pin heads to arrive.
Ok she had 23 babies on May 2nd 3 did not make it right off the bat and 2 died the first few days but there is 18 still hanging in strong. I have 9 per cage right now in a few weeks I will add more cages and separate more.
I have done some research on it but it is so hard to find complete answers about it but they do talk about miscarriages in them. That is why I asked on this forum looking to see if I could get some good answers.
I have her drinking now with white finally. Like I said before she only eats 1-3...
I just hope after some time she will put healthy weight on in the tail hip area. Once this ordeal is over she will see my vet I may even ask if he will do a home visit for her now that she is doing better.
Ok now I feel better about the eating thing I just want what is best for her. At this point I was happy with moist poop and white urate. But excited about the food intake as being ok now.
Yes I am aware of the live birth I do have another pen for them to go in and a friend of mine is willing to help out once they get 2 months old to separate males from females. I'm just not sure if she will even have any live ones is my concern with her not so wonderful care before.
I thought so myself. I just hope someone with Jackson gravid knowledge helps with the feeding advice. I just want to make sure I help her the best I can. I would take her to my vet but I'm nervous to stress her more than she already has been.
I went to a pet store a few times and each time I was in there I saw this fat little Jackson chameleon in the bottom corner of this pen. She had no real branches to climb on no real plants to hide in just a large plant dripper that always had nasty dirty water in it. She looked so miserable and...
Thank you everyone for all the help. I will get the new larger pen set up ASAP and be brave and get those live plants going as well. All new lighting as well.
1.I have a 2x2x4 ft cage waiting i just didn't want the baby lost in it.
2.I will get the strip light for the large pen just using what I got with this one.
3.I will work on the real plants just need to get my courage up on that one.
4.I actually just keep it down there empty because I have been...
1.Panther chameleon about 11wks old had for 2 wks now.
2.I held it yesterday when it climbed onto my hand after feeding from cup.
3.I feed nymph lobster or dubia roaches. I try to feed 2-3 times a day. Lobsters it will eat about 20 each time dubias it eats less of because of size difference...
Thank you for letting me join. I'm hoping you all can help so I know how to raise for proper adult hood. The store I got it from said male because at 9wks it had some pinkish red on its belly and some green behind it's eye but now looking at all you are discussing I'm worried it maybe a female...
