Help! Chameleon eating a lot of dead leaves

Actually I don’t have any isopods or springtails. I let some crickets free sometimes but that’s it. Just organic potting soil, lots of live plants, & branches.

Help! Chameleon eating a lot of dead leaves

Your Chameleon - Panther, male, 5 months, has been in my care since August 29th. Handling - A few times a week. He has an indoor free range and a outdoor free range. I only handle him for a few minutes to transport him to and from his cage. Feeding - He is currently eating super worms...

Help! Chameleon eating a lot of dead leaves

I am concerned because I have not seen him eat insects in a while (maybe I just haven’t seen it), yet Every time he gets the chance he eats sooo many dead leaves. He’ll eat one the size of his body no problem. I don’t stop him because I’m not sure if it’s similar to dogs eating grass or not. I...

    Plants for my enclosure

Thank you so much, this was helpful! That certainly explains a lot about the current plant lists available. I do consistently see rubber trees as one of the recommended plants, although that one actually does produce an irritating sap. I do see some conflicting information though when it comes...

    Plants for my enclosure

oh my gosh I’m dying that you have a pink princess in there! Thank you so much, all these comments are so helpful. I will definitely avoid putting the ZZ in there. I was also thinking about adding a zebra plant to the enclosure. As of right now I have a rubber tree, fiddle leaf fig, neon Pothos...

    Plants for my enclosure

Hello, plant collector here! I have over 200 plants and I just got a baby ambilobe Panther Chameleon. I’ve noticed the recommended plants to put in their enclosure is a pretty short list of Scheffleras, golden pothos, types of ficus’, etc. But I have many MANY plants that are not on that list...
