The soonest appointment I could get is in 3 days and I will request blood work then! I’m not sure what could be causing this if it’s not broken or gout.. could it be MBD??
He is hanging them all the time when resting. He is barely using them when he is walking around. Most of the time he is using his arms and “hovering” his back legs.
No they didn’t do any blood work, someone in the thread said to remove all over supplements other than calcium and take the dubias off their diet and see if that improves his legs.
My uvb is a T5 HO Arcadia that is 10% but the branch is actually a foot away. I’m going to replace the bulbs as...
UPDATE: Thank you everyone for their help! I decided to take him to the vet. We did X-rays and the vet said there was not any broken bones but a possible dislocation. She gave me two types of medication one for the inflammation and another antibiotic just in case something bit him. It has been a...
I believe the T5 is 10% distance is about 6 inches but he has some spots to go closer but usually doesn’t. Yes reptivite without D3. Mainly Dubai roaches and black soldier fly larva. Occasionally hornworms and super worms. Yes and sometimes kale if I don’t have the other greens available. He...

It doesn’t seem like a second elbow, I am willing to take him to a vet but would like to avoid it if I could. All of the ones in my area are very expensive at the moment.
Here are some pics of the right back leg. He will only use it when he is “hunting” his food. I have a T5 Arcadia, dust bugs with calcium no D3 then alternating once a week with D3 and reptivite. The bugs are guy loaded with sweet potato, yellow squash, collard greens and mustard greens. He also...
Hello everyone,
I need help I came back this morning to find my male panther chameleon basking with one leg hanging off the branch. This is very unusual for him, I have never seen him sit like this before. After observing him for a little I realized he is not putting any weight on it. He is...
I just came home today and noticed my male panther chameleon had strange dark spots on him that were not there yesterday. He is about 1 1/2 years old and I’ve never seen this on him before. Please if anyone knows what this is and how I can help him that would be great!
He has been defecating normally and only strains when he had a full meal and a treat. He has also been passing his sperm plugs without any trouble, I want to take him to the vet but unfortunately do not have the funds right now but I'm saving. Thank you for the feed back though!
Hi everyone! So my panther cham is almost a year old now. I originally thought his tail was just growing, after some research, I think his anus/tail is swollen. Would appreciate it if anyone could tell me if it is and what I should do!
!
Thank you @Beman and @MissSkittles for all you help I will make all the changes you suggested! Hopefully, little Niko will get back on track, thank you again!
Thank you, I will do that and as for the overhead light I've tried my very best but unfortunately, they will not compromise. Is there any other methods I can try to accommodate this issue other than covering the cage?
unfortunately, I do share the room so sometimes the over headlights will be on for longer, when this is the case I cover half of the cage on the side he is sleeping on with a large sheet of light breathable parchment paper. Okay, thank you I will start the strict schedule again, and yes I do...
Niko: I have a male panther chameleon ( pardalis), who is about 10 months and I have had him for about 4 months.
Handling: Not very often because he is still not completely comfortable with it but he is starting to warm up to me. I would say once a week if not every other week. Or only if I...
