When measuring your basking temp, are you guys measuring surface temp or ambient temperature up there? I had my temperature reader (govee) literally zip-tied to the basking branch and got a reading of 82 degrees...and assumed that was perfect (for my juvenile panther). Then I moved it to a more...

A little off topic, but where in your cage do you put the govee's to get the most accurate basking /ambient temps? Did you attach it directly to the basking branch?

Yeah I used gorilla glue epoxy. The tiles I used were 18x24 inches. I had to trim about 6 in. off of the top tile on each wall, but the bottom two tiles on each wall fit perfectly snug!

Thanks! here's the backside of one of the tiles. Added another two magnets to each corner after I took the pic. Then placed it against the screen and used 4 identical magnets on the outside of the screen to attach & secure each tile. I used 8 magnets per tile and 6 tiles total in the cage (cage...

A couple states banned incadesent bulbs last year.. CA for instance. You might have to go with a flukers basking bulb
