I know it’s urate ( I said poop because it was easier). I do not have a bioactive setup, but sometimes the urate and poop will separate when they dry out, I also cleaned his enclosure the other day so I might have just missed the urate part. I’m gonna increase the misting frequency (6ish times a...
I know it’s urate (just said poop because it’s easier) I’m going to increase the misting frequency (maybe 6ish times a day). Again mealworms are only a treat and I’ll start dusting every day, is there any other supplements they need? I only have calcium.
Honey this is CHAMELEON forums.
Jk! idk much about geckos, but there very sweet little lizards. I would say go for it (if you have the necessary care)!
Rodger, my male, juvenile, veiled chameleon has been having weird poops for the past week or so. He eats mainly crickets and mealworms as a treat of if we run out of crickets, I dust them with calcium about twice a week. His enclosure is around mid seventies and mid eighties in his basking spot...
Add more winding sticks and vines, Maybe cut down the plants so they’re not touching the lights and he wouldn’t get too close and burn. The enclosure doesn’t look too big, they enjoy space to climb. What do you feed him, how much is he misted?
My boy Rodger will eat no matter what, but I’ve never seen him drink, the plants collect a lot of water and he likes to hide in the leaves, I guess he drinks off of them then.
Very beautiful, thank you! I don’t think the cage will ever be completely finished, there’s always more I could add or change. I wanna get some more plants in there eventually.
New cam setup! What do you think? (I plan for the pothos in the back to climb the back wall when it grows a bit more, and I don’t have a misting system yet.)
I have a pothos, it is more for decoration and holding moisture than for climbing (though still good for climbing), so I have plenty of sticks too. I have a mesh cage so I’ve wired branches to the back. The soil is mostly covered but I wouldn’t worry too much seeing as chameleon hardly ever go...
