Hey Everyone!
Checking to see if there is anyone in the Durham NC area available for lizard sitting during the holiday season. Feel free to send a DM if you are interested and we can discuss pay and accommodations :)
Oh my gosh, perfect timing for making this video! I will be moving in a few weeks and was getting nervous about how to transport my chameleon. I'm wondering if the information you shared will also apply to the specifics of my move. I will have a 10-12 hours drive and I'm worried about how long...

He pooped this morning! It was HUGE and I'm sure he feels much better now! I'm so relieved :) and the urate was 75-80% white so I think my hydration methods are working for him.
Thanks for all the enclosure suggestions as well :)
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon – Veiled, male, 4 months, in my care for 5 days
Handling – removed him from his cage a few times for set up. Placed on money tree during that time. Hold briefly while feeding.
Feeding – feeding in the mornings. 15-20 bugs. Mostly dubia roaches, a few superworms...
I’m also from Indiana looking to get a veiled. Who was the breeder you purchased from and is there a way I could try getting in touch with them? I just missed a local expo because of holiday travel...

Other than for preventing mold and fungi growth, are there more reasons why you would want to allow drying during the day? Is that just a more accurate representation of their natural habitat?
I'm really glad you brought up a solid sided cage! That's another thing I have questions about. I understand that chameleons need good air flow, so most recommend a mesh cage, but I've been curious about putting up a glass panel or two in winter to help keep that humidity in. Are there any...
We are very humid in the summer, but it's the winter I'm really worried about. I don't blast my heater in the winter, but based on how ofter I need to apply lotion to my hands I can't imagine there's much moisture in the air. Do you have any difficulty maintaining humidity during those cold...
Hey Everyone!
I just registered to become a member after gently obsessing over chameleons and chameleon care for the past few weeks! I have learned so much from these forums and I'm excited to learn more. I don't own a lovely lizard friend yet because I want to be sure I am fully prepared for...
