Need to find male panther a new home...

UPDATE: For some reason I'm not allowed to post a reply (since it's been moved), but I wanted to say that Ambrose has already found a new home. :) Thank you so much for everyone who has sent me messages. ------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! I have a 15 month...

    Help with taming panther?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I haven't felt great about putting my hand over his back. He does get jumpy and puffed up when I do so. Luckily, I think I can still salvage our relationship if I don't do that anymore. Whenever I put my fingers under his chin to pick him up he remains calm - I'll...

    Help with taming panther?

Does no one else have any feedback on this? I'd really love help with this.

    Help with taming panther?

Yeah, I've been told to try the branch thing. Honestly, I'm not sure if it would work because the large aluminum cages have a "pocket" up top that I think he would climb right off into. But I'll try! I know he at least TOLERATES me. When I took him to the vet awhile back he turned pitch black...

    Help with taming panther?

Hi all! I've had my 7 month old male panther for three months now, and I've been working on getting him more familiar with me. For awhile I was only pulling him out twice a week to bask in the sun, and he seemed sort of okay with that. An acquaintance of mine, who used to breed panthers...

    One eye turret significantly smaller?

No one has any more thoughts on this? The saline I've been administering doesn't appear to be doing any good. His eye is still significantly smaller than the right. Weird. :/

    One eye turret significantly smaller?

Yes, I checked his vision earlier, too - he did follow the finger, so obviously he can see. He also seems to miss his mark more than he used to - he seemed to have 100% accuracy back in the day and now it's more like 60-80% on a given day. It'll be interesting to see if anyone has any ideas, but...

    One eye turret significantly smaller?

So while hand feeding him today I managed to get some updated shots of his eye. At the very least you can see the droopy eyelid.

    One eye turret significantly smaller?

Hi all! I got my Ambrose in November, and he's wonderful and growing like a weed! While he's generally healthy, he's had a constant issue that doesn't seem to go away. Since a week after I got him he's had an issue with his left eye. Initially, he kept it shut most of the time and it...

New baby Panther! And some questions...

I wanted to update that it was the UVB light - I spoke to the breeder and they mentioned a basking distance of about 8" from the UVB light. Mine was only 3" away! I elevated the light and within a few hours he was back to normal. :)

New baby Panther! And some questions...

No, it's just a regular heat bulb. And I know for a fact the UVB tube light is like-new. I could always try switching out all the lighting for a 100w Powersun Bulb (I have several extras) and see what happens. My veiled seemed to like being under that one.

New baby Panther! And some questions...

Your Chameleon - Male panther chameleon. 4 months old. He's been here less than a week. Handling - I've been messing with his cage a couple times, but never touching him directly. Feeding - I've been hand-feeding dusted 8-12 dubia roach nymphs every day. Planing on getting some crickets and...

New baby Panther! And some questions...

Temporary fix, apparently. His eye is closed again. What causes this?

New baby Panther! And some questions...

So I put him and his ficus into my shower and gave him a good, long mist... eye opened! So that's a relief. Is this just a humidity problem with my enclosure, maybe?

New baby Panther! And some questions...

So today Ambrose's left eye is shut - I want to assume it'll go away and it's just that he hadn't eaten much recently. Should I be worried?

New baby Panther! And some questions...

So interestingly, I thought I'd try picking one of the nymphs up and offering it... and he actually took it! So happy. :D He must've been hungry - he took 11 right from my hand! Glad to know he wasn't specifically avoiding eating. I guess I'll have to do something instead of a feeding cup.

New baby Panther! And some questions...

Hi all! I used to be on these forums back when I had my veiled chameleon. But all things come and go... So, after years of waiting for the right time, I finally bought another chameleon - an Ambilobe panther chameleon from Kammerflage Kreations. Ambrose, as I'm calling him, is about 4 months...

    metabolism change?

New cage! So my 39 gallon Reptarium from LLLReptile came in the mail yesterday. It's so much bigger, and I think Ridley will like it much more. Ridley is near the top-middle of the cage. :) After hiding for a bit he came out to bask. Here's a picture from a few days ago, when...

    metabolism change?

Hi, My male veiled Ridley is now about 7-8 months old, and I have noticed he seems much more lethargic lately and I'm wondering what might be wrong, if anything... Currently, he's averaged about 3-4 crickets every three days. I see him basking as normal, but otherwise he hangs out in the...
