Okay, so I just tried holding my hand out and gently putting one of his feet at a time on my hand and didn't try to move another one until felt him tightly grasp my hand and then moved each hand on and for a second he went on my hand and then he move off onto another branch in the cage.
These are good suggestions, but I just I just tried them and neither of them worked. He hissed at the stick and freaked out, (I don't know why) and started to puff out at my hand so I pulled it away. Any others?
I've had Apollo for around 5 months and I've tried many times by slowly inching my hand closer under him so he doesn't feel threatened and his usual is response is to ignore it but sometimes he will hiss and puff out his neck. When do you think he is going to finally go on my arm?I would only...
Okay i just realized it's not just my hand he also tries to eat anything I put in like I was putting in a plastic tube filled with crickets that comes out of my cricket keeper and he shot at it with his tongue even before any crickets came out. Please help.
Every time I open his cage for pretty much anything that involves my hand going into it, he opens his mouth a little bit and he gets ready to launch his tongue like i have a cricket with me. Can anyone tell me why?
One other thing I wanted to ask, how long should I wait until I attempt to handle him? On the first day he was amazing and loved to be handled, but now he is a bit of a grump. I know people say to wait, but how long? I don't really want to take him out to "play with him" I want to give him some...
Thanks, I'll look into this. I have a 26 watt 120 uvb, and I'm getting a couple more plants for him. When I took these photos I had a temporary 13 watt, but now he is a brighter color.
My veiled, Apollo, looks sort of brownish green ever since we got him from the pet store. My profile picture is a picture of him when we got him, and here are some current photos:
He also seems to be kind of grumpy. Every time I open the cage he flares up. Is he just stressed, or is there...
