    Impacted Chameleon

I have already taken her to the vets. I can’t call him today because it’s Sunday..? She was already diagnosed. Just asking for advice as stated above in my original post. She is constipated but the lactulose doesn’t seem to be helping quite yet..so I was asking if there was anything I could do...

    Impacted Chameleon

Definitely not...not even fully mature yet. She’s young and a healthy weight according to my vet. She’s just bloated from being constipated is what I was told.

    Impacted Chameleon

That's what I'm curious about. I fed her five. They were a decent size, so now I'm curious if I'm at fault...ugh. If that's what it is, does chitin break down?

    Impacted Chameleon

The only things I suspect are either superworms or dirt from her pothos plant.

    Impacted Chameleon

Oh, I didn't know that considering my veterinarian soaked her while massaging her belly. I have been giving her plenty of liquids, she still drinks and has access to water at all times. He also told me to give her the pedialyte mixture 3 times a day, which is what I have been doing as well. She...

    Impacted Chameleon

Honestly couldn't tell you, I have another veiled who's 2 years old and hasn't had any issues. I'm thinking she could've possibly ate dirt too? She always munches on her pothos.

    Impacted Chameleon

Hi everyone, I am having some trouble with my veiled chameleon Peach. I noticed that she was straining to go to the bathroom and was unable to poop. I tried giving her pear puree (she threw it up), and I gave her plenty of warm soaks while massaging her belly. I even gave her mineral oil to try...

    2 year old female chameleon

Hey everyone, Miss daisy my female chameleon is acting a bit strange. I noticed that she has been falling from the top of her enclosure and the poor thing has a bruise on the side of her from it. I am almost positive she is trying to lay eggs because she’s digging in her large laying bin I have...

    White in mouth/swollen lip

She is honestly the sweetest thing, the only time she’s ever tried to bite me was when I accidentally scared her!

    White in mouth/swollen lip

My 5/6 mo old female veiled, Miss Daisy, has one side of her mouth protruding a little bit. I took a look in her mouth and noticed white along that area of her lip? Is anyone familiar with this? I have some pictures. You’ll notice her other side doesn’t have that. I felt so bad holding her like...

    Illness questions?

Do any of you guys have problems with your chameleons getting little white boogers? Aren’t they from minerals/salts and how do I fix that? I found out the reason she opens her mouth is because her nose gets clogged with those :( I’m afraid that the city water is doing it. How do I fix it?

    Illness questions?

Oh yeah with rain and then sun it can be a nightmare. I mist her and it’ll stay just in time from the time I go to work, lunch break, then home. I know part of the reason I have to be so consistent is because of the artificial plants, and at one point I had substrate but read that it wasn’t...

    Illness questions?

I do have a ceramic heat bulb, but it definitely can get a little warm. That’s why I set up that heating pad.

    Illness questions?

Yes it can get very cold down here sometimes, it makes me nervous. We are currently fixing up what used to be a basement, so it has no AC/heating.
