    Is this a burn?

I really appreciate all of your responses, I’ve been progressively adding more and more branches to the cage, here’s a more recent pic (As you can see in this one, the lights are suspended from the screen to avoid burns. I took note of all your advice, however my primary concern now is the black...

    Is this a burn?

Thanks for your replies, the requested info: - It’s a male 8-9 months old veiled chameleon, 6 months under my care with no issues at all. - Not much handling, just sometimes. He is not bothered by the handling, I feed him outside whenever I take him out as reward. - I switched to from small to...

    Is this a burn?

Hello! I just found this spot in his chin, do you guys think that’s a burn? He sometimes wanders upside down on the roof, but the light has a proper distance for 85-90 F in his basking spot... thanks always for your comments!

Are these burns on my cham?

Hello! I’ve been noticing my chameleon’s veil has been turning gray with some black areas, at first I thought it could be he’s just getting adult coloring, but reading around it crossed my mind that his veil could be getting slowly burned? Should I move my light bulbs a little higher? What do...

My chameleon ate flucker’s cricket quencher

I asked about the tail, and they were honest by saying it was most likely a bite, but they weren’t sure. There were many other chameleons with perfect tails but I still wanted this one because he was really friendly, and it’s a healed chunk... it’s also a well known breeder so I think that’s ok...

My chameleon ate flucker’s cricket quencher

I contacted two vets and told them about what happened, and they both adviced on calling Flukers to know what are the risks of this product. As I was thinking, this will not swell up inside the cham because it’s not dehydrated like the cubes, and they said there’s no danger at all. He just...

My chameleon ate flucker’s cricket quencher

Thanks for worrying but that’s not the issue, I’m pretty aware of that, there was just one time I couldn’t take out one cricket because it was hiding, so I placed this little quencher inside so the cricket wouldn’t bother my cham, and now you know what happened to the quencher :(

My chameleon ate flucker’s cricket quencher

Thanks so much for your reply and sharing this story, I actually saw one like this before posting; I think this case was because those cubes are dehydrated and they will swell up. My quenchers are those that are “water gels” they are supposed to provide water to the crickets as well as...

My chameleon ate flucker’s cricket quencher

Hello, I’ve been reading this forum months ago when I was doing my research for getting my first chameleon, it’s been really helpful. Today’s the first time i’ll post though, because I’ve not seen anything like this in the internet. My baby veiled is a male, 2 months old, he’s been with me for...
