I’m freaking out. My veiled has been rubbing her eye on the bendable branches and it now looks like this!! Is her eyeball damaged?? Gone? I take fantastic care of her and I’m worried sick! I’ll call the vet in the morning, but our small town doesn’t have a great exotic vet. Her other eye is...
She’s doing great now! I thought I had a laying bin fixed up, but she wouldn’t get in it, just dug in this one corner, so I made the whole bottom of her habitat a laying bin. Lined with newspapers, then I mixed sand and that substrate and filled it about 12 inches. Worked perfectly. I’ll know...
No. Can you tell by any of my pictures that she is ... for sure.... a female? I have the whole bottom of her habitat in soft, lightly moist, coco fiber stuff ( it’s like the consistency of dirt/sand). It’s all screen, so I’m just not sure how to make one. I’ll go look on the threads for...
They just said she was a juvenile when I got her at Thanksgiving. She’s quite large compared to the little ones I see at Petco now. They also said she was a female, but I’m not sure about that. This is my first chameleon and I’m reading and learning constantly. Thank you for responding to my...
She was at the bottom... she sleeps in the leaves at night... but comes on up during the day, usually. I’ve moved her closer to the heat, and I’ll just watch closely. I don’t think there is a vet here in my town that does reptiles, so I hope it isn’t serious. Thank you for answering
My girl has not moved from this place since last night. Her appetite has been great and she’s going to the bathroom fine. Should this be a concern? I’ll be watching....
Thank you for great information and where to learn more. I get great pleasure from watching, feeding and caring for her and just don’t want her whole life to be inside the habitat. I’ll let it all be at her pace and learn ways to build trust. Thank you for responding
She always looks like that when she is outside of her habitat, even when shen ventures out on her own. I think I will just enjoy her coolness while she’s inside unless she shows me other clues. I’m always very gentle and she has plenty to explore inside her habitat. Thank you for letting me...
My girl loves when she’s out of her habitat, but getting her out isn’t easy. She hisses and bites. Any tips on how to get her out easier? I only do it occasionally.
