So. The girl who took the picture did talk to the rep did the Illinois department of agriculture. She also said she went to the petco to check on the Cham and they said he was in the back on observation status and that he would be placed back on display for sale in 72 hours.... So basically...
OK. Thank you. I w thinking about it because I don't believe Petco is going to do anything and I don't know if the Department of Agriculture will either. I have one chameleon and extra supplies because I had a second that I sold to a breeder. I have a vet that I think is pretty good. I will...
I saw this yesterday on a Facebook reptile group yesterday. He women who posted it said it was from Petco in Alton, IL. I was very upset... I called Petco cooperate and the Illinois department of agriculture. I even thought about driving there, buying it, and taking it to a vet (4 hours away)...
I just bought a shotgun feeder and it shipped out today. Last night I bought small crickets so I'm hoping he will do better soon. I also am going to app obsessively starting at him and maybe put a camera up, lol.
Thank you for the link to the academy. I have heard great things about it and will start reading asap. There's so much information out there and not all reliable.
Thank you so much. I put window plastic on two sides but am looking at buying a hybrid cage. I have a lot of real plants on the enclosure but a few fake. I actually went to a greenhouse last week. I can tell a difference in humidity already.
Thank you. Please let me clarify.... Only use the fogger at night and let the cage dry during the day. I live in a suburb if Chicago.... The home humidity is typically in the high 20's.
Thanks a lot. I thought of force feeding because I successful with an AFT gecko that stopped eating for some reason. I'm worried that changing to the small cage may have added some stress too. I have only handled him once in two weeks when I moved him to the smaller cage.
How. The pet shop told me that's what they were using but based off of the head size rule, I see what you are saying. I am at work now but will post the lights later. I will but smaller crickets and see. I want to try Dubai roaches as well. I am at my wits end.
As far as insect size. I'm doing 3/4 inch crickets which it's what the petshop said they were using. I tried wax worms but he hasn't eaten them since the 2 he ate 2 weeks ago. The stool looks normal... Or it did two days ago. He's been in the small cage since Sunday afternoon and actually looks...
I bought a 2 month old Panther chameleon from a reputable pet shop in my area 2 weeks ago and am worried as he is not eating much. This is the second chameleon I've owned, and I've done my research. My first chameleon was purchased as an adult and ate very well but this one is not eating well at...
