Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

I took Pascal to the vet today. She said he has no signs of being sick or anything. He’s not dehydrated, he is clear for MBD, and his stool is healthy. I took some from this morning with me. She said that linear lights are definitely better, but that his eyes look fine. She told me that he is...

Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

For the linear bulb, it’s a 5.0 UVB bulb, right?

Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

He stopped doing that not long after I posted the thread, but I still wanted to see what everyone had to say. Of he does it tomorrow, should I change the bulb/ setup and see if that fixes it before taking him to a vet?

Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

If I get the linear bulb, do I run it across horizontally or diagonally, corner to corner? Is the compact bulb too concentrated?

Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

He seems fine now. If he keeps doing it, I’ll switch to a linear bulb. But I’ve had him for a month and a half almost and this was the first day he did it.

Pascal has his eyes closed while basking

Today, I noticed Pascal is basking under his light but he is closing his eyes while doing so. They aren’t sunken at all, and he is eating and drinking. His poop is normal. What could the issue be? Is the bulb too bright? He’s a veiled chameleon He’s in a 16x16x30 screen cage His humidity sits...

Is Pascal okay? Suddenly much darker and exploring cage more

Ahh okay. He’s in breeding mode? He drank some water and he’s back to lime green. So I’m not sure now. I just am worried because I lost a chameleon about a month and a half ago and she was sick when I got her. And she was dark like he just was. Little paranoid because he seems to be doing really...

Is Pascal okay? Suddenly much darker and exploring cage more

He’s a few months based on the reptile store owner. I’d say 2-3 based on his size.

Is Pascal okay? Suddenly much darker and exploring cage more

Hey everyone. So Pascal just finished a shed last week, it only took him a day to do so. I woke up today and he seems fine. Just a lot more active. He’s also really dark, but still green. Is he okay? He’s eating fine. And the temperature in his cage is 72 at the low end and the basking is...

Is my new Chameleon starting to shed?

Thanks so much! The humidity is sitting between 65-75 throughout the day. I made a fogger for him and he seems to enjoy sitting in the fog. ☺️ I’ll keep misting too.

Is my new Chameleon starting to shed?

Hello everyone. I’m a new memeber; and this is my new lil’ guy Pascal. He’s very active, eats really well, is drinking( at least based on his poop. There was white, so I know he’s not dehydrated. The rest was moist, yet held it’s shape.) I’m supplementing with calcium W/O and W D3. He will get...
