I put my basking spot about 5 inches from the enclosure ceiling and the temp controller to max at 82. When I measured the ceiling, it got to 90 which is warm but doesn’t seem to cause burns. This took away that stress as well. Hope this helps!!

I would put more branches and things to climb on, higher towards the top of the cage. This way your Chameleon can thermoregulate as needed, and absorb UVB at his/her desired level. Also, I read somewhere on these forums once, that empty space is unusable space by your Chameleon :) Hope this helps.
