I don't understand how she keeps burning herself

We had the Zoo Med dripper that looks like a plant. She normally doesn't mind us watching her. My son sits and watches her for hours at a time, so she's pretty used to eating and drinking in front of us. She evens eats and drinks from our hands.

I don't understand how she keeps burning herself

There is no drainage. We have live plants in there. Could you show me an example of what normal eyes look like in a hydrated chameleon? She goes through a litre of water every three days.

I don't understand how she keeps burning herself

UVB lamp is usually in the center at the top. The lightbulb burned out earlier today and I have it down right now (having a little difficulty changing the bulb). I just checked the temperature directly under the heat lamp and it's 90 F.

Yeah, bits of the ridge on her spine seemed to come off as she shed. Is that normal?

    Help with shedding

The plants are rooted in it. She barely goes down there, and it's just soil.

The water dish is for the crickets. We mist the enclosure every few hours and the chameleon drinks from the leaves.
