    Roach rating showdown

I hadn't considered the difference in roaches behavior having an affect on drawing my chams attention. When all my efforts to feed my veiled dubias failed, I just assumed she was conditioned for crickets. The dubias were so inactive and slow that she never considered eating any of them and I...

How to tell when a Veiled chameleon is going to lay eggs.

You should just start your own new thread for this topic instead of bumping threads from 2016. You'll have more help that way

    My homemade chameleon cage

It appears he is displeased with your choice of wall color and is prepping to re-paint. Jokes aside, hang a couple pothos plants on that left side and weave them through the ladder as they grow. Would look nice I think.

Is it safe to use outdoor sticks?

Fair enough. But to go beyond chameleons, I have kept and breed other reptiles including snakes and if anybody keeps other species of reptiles near each other or even in adjacent rooms, trust me from experience, baking a stick for an hour is 100x easier in the long run than dealing with things...

Is it safe to use outdoor sticks?

Scrolling through the medical threads, plenty of them involve ppl AND vets struggling to diagnose symptoms. It's not about overworrying, it's about taking precautions to eliminate potential worries. Most keepers are housing chameleons far far away from their original habitat so foreign fauna is...

Is it safe to use outdoor sticks?

That was my point originally. Like other exotic animals and reptiles, unknown causes of death are common so the introduction of a potentially foreign contaminant wouldn't necessarily show itself or be diagnosable upon becoming sick. I use natural branches myself, but I strip the outer bark and...

Is it safe to use outdoor sticks?

Not sure I follow the logic of -they grow up in nature with potentially harmful and lethal bugs/fauna so its no worry it being in their man made enclose- that would stress me out I think

    Looking for Advice for Walkways

The green floral wire from hobby lobby is what I use. You get a whole spool for a few bucks and you can cut it to size with snips as needed. Infact there's lots of stuff at hobby lobby for cheap that works great so look around.

New member! Critique my setup - Pics&Video

Yes, I have already ordered some RepCal calcium w/ D3 to add in the diet. I'll also begrudgingly be providing a lay bin at the bottom right corner in the coming months. I've tried to make a couple horizontal sections using the multiple vines I have, maybe the images make it hard to tell but I'll...

Hello, This is Jane. My second attempt at a veiled chameleon and recent relapse back into the herp world after 7 years of being clean:confused: - back in HS, I was an avid ball python keeper/breeder/enthusiast but dabbled in all sorts of other herps. In 2008, mistakenly ordered a baby veiled...
