    advice for feeder tongs

I really like the tongs I use and never had any tongue problems. I hold the insects very lightly. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BWX20K/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

Could you give the exact amounts on your hornworm chow? Do you use this or do you buy prepared chow as well?

Is a 10 gallon glass tank big enough to breed dubias?

A dark plastic 14 - 16 gallon tub from HD is your best bet with a large rectangle cut out of the lid and dark screen hot glued on to it. 10 gallon glass aquariums are so heavy and hard to move around and clean. I would buy an extra bin just in case your colony gets to big :)

    Rearing and Breeding hornworms

After you collect the eggs should I put them in a petri dish? And can you store them until ready for use or do I need to get them in containers right away? Loved your blog and I can't wait to start my hornworms!

    Hovabator Incubator????

I have done this test and have had better results just putting the eggs in the closet. I've come th the conclusion that the slight temp change from morning to night helps the eggs hatch faster. My eggs always hatch between 6-8 months and I use vermiculite.

    an angry cham

Start hand feeding small silkworms that helps bring them back around. The cranky stage can last till full maturity but hand feeding will help tame him :D
