I'm looking at this unit: http://www.reptilesrus.ca/arcadia-ceramic-reflector-clamp-lamp-140mm-6/ but I'd rather not have to use the UK to US adaptor. As the UK is 220V and we're 120V here, is this adapter a voltage step down, or is it just a plain adapter. I would prefer to rewire the plug.
Is there any advantage to having the basking light on a temp control system, or is a timer enough. While I'm not worried about our ambient temps in the summer, winter is tricky.
I'm looking for a unit that can monitor multiple zones by just placing sensors. I have an indoor/outdoor weather station that measure temp and humidity and thought something like that could work.
I found this: http://www.tomtop.com/humidifier-1081/p-h17390.html?currency=CAD&aid=bpaca2

I'm not worried about bulb wattage, not yet anyways. We just got our main light fixture from Light Your Reptile, a 4 unit T5 bulb 48" unit.
When I placed the light on the viv, I've got a limited amount of space for a basking lamp.
Here's two pics. One with the lights on, the other off.

The units we have a big. 48x48x19. We bought two but are just going to set up one for now.
Other than the mag shelf units how else can I attach vines/plants to the glass sides? I was thinking of large suction cups, but not sure if they will hold.
Any thoughts?
Hi,
Our cage, all glass, is 48x48x19. I was thinking of buying two temp/humidity gages, one placed at the top near where the Cham would bask, and another near the floor. Should I get a third and go for the mid way point?
Cheers!
For those using a full glass enclosure, how are you cleaning them? We're in the process of getting one set up, and i'm not worried about cleaning it now with some windex, as we're not getting the Cham for a bit, but when it's up and running we do want to keep the glass as clean as possible.
Any...
We've bought our terrariums. Yeah. They are 48"x48"x19" all glass, and weight about 123.3 lbs. I don't want them to site on the floor, so I'm looking for a recommendation for a stand. Metal, wood, at this point anything is on the table. But, I need room to store a water jug and the pump for the...
I've read a lot about which type of water to use in a MistKing. Some people can use tap, but that really depends on the quality of your water. We use a water softener, so i'm not 100% if I'll go that route. We're getting the pieces to set up our first system.
Regardless of how the water type...
My wife and I are just starting out. We don't even have our first chameleon yet. We're listing to the Chameleon Breeder post cast and reading everything we can.
Just a quick hello, I'm off to read!
