I purchase my cham from petco, and initially had some trouble when i started with him. His color was NOT healthy at all when I purchased him and was clearly malnourished. It took time to get him fed correctly, and hydration was a huge issue when i first got him. Now he is doing great! Took a lot...
You might wanna try to increase the humidity to see if that will help. If you mist by hand make sure you are misting long enough that water drops form, but wait for it to dry before doing it again. The more humid in there the better!
How is the humidity in the enclosure? This happened a lot with me with my chameleon when i first got him. Once I got his humidity right he was better hydrated and his eyes are nice and round now :)
Thanks for the response! I ended up buy a cage that came with other supplies I wanted anyway.. and it was on sale. So I figured that was a better choice. If I ever have extra time and money i would love to make an awesome enclosure. Yours looks great! i just feel as though i don't have enough...
thank you everyone! The older he got the more I felt as though he was a boy, i was just confused as i was told he was actually a she when i first purchased the cham.
Hi everyone,
Originally when i got my cham from the pet store i was told it was a female. However, i have been doing research and noticing how much its been growing and how certain traits are changing/ becoming more noticeable. If i could get everyones opinion on whether my cham is a boy or...
Hi everyone! I'm still a new chameleon owner and I was thinking about upgrading my chameleons enclosure for her. What I really want to do is custom make it myself, and hopefully save a little money while I'm at it. I was just wondering you guys have any advice/tips for me as I start thinking...
I have had my veiled chameleon for about 2 weeks now and i haven't seen her shed yet. She is roughly 2-3 months old. Is it possible that she shed while i was gone for a few hours?
Hi everyone, just looking for some advice here. I have a baby veiled chameleon and she mainly ate crickets up until today. I was trying to introduce a little bit of variety into her diet. as a treat i would give her super worms no more than two a day, and only every other day. Yesterday I gave...
Hi there! Personally, what I did to start getting my chameleon used to me was to feed it some super worms by hand. And what I mean by hand was a small cup. It teaches them that your hand=food! It seems to be working for my cham thus far, but Ive only had her a short amount of time also. Another...
Thanks a lot! I'm not entirely sure how old she is, the pet store never said when i bought her and i forgot to ask. From what I've seen online I would say she's around 4 months old. I also leave a piece of romaine lettuce in there for her to free feed from.
I feed my baby veiled small crickets every day as her staple food but have recently incorporated super worms. How often should i be feeding her these super worms and also how many? I read that they can become addicted to these and i would like to avoid that.
I have had my veiled chameleon for about a week now and I want to incorporate some variety in her diet. She mainly eats crickets but I wanted to introduce her to super worms. I put one in her cage but she didn't notice it. Is there a certain way I should feed them to her or is simply putting...
