    Adopt a Panther... Please.

I would like to thank everyone who showed interest in helping Uribe and I. Thankfully, I've found an experienced keeper who lives very close and is willing to give Uribe the care he needs. We will be meeting up today. Thanks dann6! Uribe and I thank you all!

    Adopt a Panther... Please.

Hi everyone, Is there anyone that can take over the care of my 9 mo. male Ambanja? It was an impulsive decision to get him in the first place, and with the health issues he's having. I don't feel like I am capable of giving him the care he deserves. It would need to be a pick up...

    Uribe is not well, dehydration?

Also, what are some good methods of rehydration? Provided you feel that this is the issue. Ive been reluctant to try puting water in his gaping mouth because I heard something about a breathing hole that you need to avoid. Any one know how to do this properly? Thanks again. Ian

Taking Uribe to the vet - need advice

My cage really isnt portable nor could my car port it... and the way I have the the ficus situated in the cage prevents me from removing it without freaking him out or scaring him away from it. I think I'm going to prep a shoebox and be gentle. I suppose if he can survive a Cali to Chicago...

Taking Uribe to the vet - need advice

I can get him to take a waxworm from me from time to time, but it certainly hasnt made him warm up at all (plus I understand theyre not very healthy so I try to offer one maybe once a week). It's kinda disappointing:(. Pretty much everytime I put my hand in his cage, he starts clinging to the...

Taking Uribe to the vet - need advice

Thanks Sandra. Any thoughts on the handling aspect? Any tricks anyone knows of to make him more friendly or more trusting of me? I don't intend on handling him constantly, howver, it makes cage cleaning, misting, and feeding really stressful for him. Something I really want to avoid.

Taking Uribe to the vet - need advice

Hi guys, I'm taking my 4.5 month old ambanja to the vet today to get his eye checked out. I was hoping for some advice about the car ride. It should only be about 40 min each way so I wanted to know what would make him most comfortable. My main reason for concern is that he tends to hate...

    Silkworms too big

Id say only about 5 of them are much bigger than an inch. My guy is still kinda small. What rule of thumb would you use? Also, should I dust them?

    Silkworms too big

I ordered about 50 silkworms from Coastal Silkworms, got them today, and only about 10 of them are small enough to feed to my 3.5 mo. old ambanja. Any thoughts on how I can salvage these worms so they don't go to waste? Much appreciated. Ian

just got my 3 1/2 month old panther to eat back to back phoenix worms from me without running away today! He has been really untrusting of me so far (only had him 8 days) and I think this may have been a big step towards being more social. :D Any other tips or thoughts on getting your chams...

My first day with my new Ambanja - advice needed.

I just got my 3 mo. old Ambanja from the Kammer's today and had some questions that maybe some of you more experienced members could shed some light on... I had a little scare with him climbing the ceiling of the enclosure and walking directly under his basking lamp, causing him to fall the 2...
