    Pure Worm Diet?

I'm wondering the same as my guy is on strike with crickets and dubias (not even the fresh white ones :( . He will only eat worms. I have ordered butterworms and black soldier larvae and am hoping those are enough. I will try to give him crickets again after a few weeks of a break . Any...

    Handling

If he's comfortable eating out if the palm of your hand then you should start placing the treat further down your hand. The way that's been working for me is showing him the worm and placing the worm high up on my forearm by my elbow and letting him walk up my hand to reach it. It stated with...

Beautiful picture. Is he under a specific type of light? (Black Light? ) or is that his natural color?

Beefed up his enclosure a little but with more angular branches and some more fake greens. And of course got rid of the sub base as recommended.

Figured out a way to feed him the roaches. I give him 1 by hand in the am, then throw a few crickets in there for the rest of his meal. This way he gets 2 types. Also gave him a meal worm for the 1st time today. Here is a picture of him enjoying it. He also shed for the 1st time yesterday so his...

Haha. Mine is polite, he finishes what he snaps up but won't go for it anymore. I will try all different types. I want to try some flies as well. Heard blue bottle flies are fun for him.

Thank you for the compliment. I keep reading that here so might be the case. I'd guess him to be about 7 inches or 8 max. The horn worms I was told to feed him 1 a day since they grow so fast. I will see how he reacts to them and might share them with a friend who also owns a cham.

So it's been 12 days I've had my beautiful boy and he's settled in great. He's eating crickets well but doesn't seem to like dubia roaches at all. He ate 1 the 1st day. 3 the 2nd day but won't eat them after that. So I'm back to crickets. I also ordered horn worms for him. Oh and he let me hold...

    Roach Feeders

Thanks for input. Will start off by buying enough for him to eat for a week and go from there. Once I feel more comfortable and have a enter understanding on them I will consider getting a colony started.

I will be going to the store tomorrow to see what other options they have for him. My wife is freaked out of cockroaches but will see how she reacts tomorrow when she sees them. Are they kept similar to crickets? Also how many roaches a day is recommended?
