    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

No I haven’t ever added pee pollen because I had heard that it can be a large contributor to health issues like edema. Should I stop using all supplements until I get the new ones in? I got a notification that those supplements have been shipped to me today, so I’ll check back in a couple weeks...

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

Okay I have ordered the repashy calcium no D3 and the LoD, here are some photos I just took of the edema. It is a little smaller than it was a few days ago but he has very rarely left this spot (it’s where he sleeps, about the middle of the cage) the past few days.

Oh okay, I see. I was confused on which brand it was. I’m already using the zoo-med reptical without d3

I was able to find the Repashy LoD online, but not the reptical. Do you have a link that I could use?

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

The ambient temps range from the mid 60’s at night and will get up to the low 80’s during the day. The basking spot will get to the low 80’s throughout the day. I can get more specific temps on Thursday because I won’t have work. I’ll fill out a total husbandry review, yes please!

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

just a quick update, I moved the plants back to where they were but it did not seem to help much. Also, his Edema seemed to start getting better but did not ever go away completely. The past few days it has started to get worse again. Should I turn off his UVB light so that he is not getting...

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

The temps have stayed the same. Probably 3 weeks ago a moved the dracaena up a little bit and since then he has not really moved down into the lower section of the enclosure, should I maybe move it back down? I have not done a fecal, it’s a bad excuse but it is just not within my budget at the...

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

Hey was stressed before the cage move, I moved it so that the light coming around the blinds at night would not be shining into his cage, but he did not see a reflection or out a window in either location. About 2 months ago I switched his feeder intake to every other day 10-15 feeders, but...

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

It has been about 3 weeks since he had either the calcium with D3 or the ReptiVite. The edema that I could see starting at the top of his head has gone away and the lump between his front legs has shrunk a little bit. Is it likely the Edema that is keeping him stressed out?

I had not realized it until you mentioned it, but yes, the ReptiVite also has D3 in it

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

I’m sorry, the vitamin c was referring to calcium, that is my mistake. I don’t have any vitamin c supplements. The supplement schedule I was using before I noticed the Edema was: calcium without D3 every meal, except when another supplement was used. Calcium with D3 and Vitamin A once per week...

    Stressed Panther Troubleshooting

My panther showing his spots pretty much all of the time which I’ve heard is a sign of stress. I’ve been trying to slowly change things about his enclosure to try to find what is stressing him out. He is right about a year old right now, and is just finishing a shed (which I thought might be a...

any do a DIY foam background in their enclosures?

Mine is definitely not up to the standard of all of these, but I did use a good chunk of foam, mainly for plants. I only used the foam in the middle section where the plants sit, and the rest is still just the screen. To keep some of the weight of the plants and sticks off of screen I...

Here’s an update! I am going to pick up a 3 month old panther tomorrow! The T5 5.0 should be coming in the mail today, in the photos is still the T8 I raised the heating lamp so now the basking spot is 80-83. I also added a small grow light. Added live plants, including pothos, areca palm...

Semi DIY panther chameleon enclosure help

I currently have the Reptisun T8 fixture and a Reptisun T8 10.0, and I plan on switching to a T5 fixture with a t5 5.0 bulb. The fixture I have is too small from what I’ve read so I plan on getting a T5 that is 24”. I do plan on adding a bunch of live plants and my thought process was to put a...

Semi DIY panther chameleon enclosure help

Hello! Semi new to the forum, mostly just been doing research (thanks a ton by the way). I grew up in Uganda and had chameleons as pets all the time. When we had them we would just keep them in a tree or bush outside and they could just leave when they wanted to, and most were friendly enough to...
