Chameleon eating dead skin while shedding

Thanks, that is why I expected. And yeah, he's only 3 months old, so he is definitely considered juvenile. Thanks for chiming in!

    New baby Nosey Be Panther

My chameleon usually loses his appetite for a few days before/while he is shedding, and from what I've seen on here that is entirely normal.

Chameleon eating dead skin while shedding

Hey guys, so I noticed my little guy started shedding out of nowhere and when I checked him out he was eating pieces of dead skin off his body. Is this normal chameleon behavior? Thanks!

I usually feed my crickets a mix of chopped up apples and collard greens. Simple, cheap, and delicious!

    New enclosure for Remi

Looks really nice! I'm gonna move my veiled to this size enclosure once he gets a little older. Question for you though, with this size, is 4 heat bulbs the way to go, I obviously don't know but it just seems like that may be overkill, what does that keep the temperature at up there?

What size of cage should an adult be in?

2'x2'x4' is basically the standard I've been seeing on this site for most if not all species.

    Chameleon Maturity

So this is kind of a two-in-one question, I've never had a baby chameleon before and I'm really curious about growth rates, I understand that every chameleon is different but more or less how fast do they grow? At what age are they considered adults and full grown, and with that... at what ages...

    Female veiled acting strange

Although she is not fat I do think she is at that age where she would start to produce eggs, do you have any pictures of her?

What fruits and veggies are safe for female veiled?

I'm pretty sure apples and carrots are perfectly safe, I would put them in a cup/dish cut into small bite sized chameleon pieces, you can also use leafy greens like collards and mustard greens, I've had chameleons that love them, you could just put the whole leaf in there and the chameleon will...

    Handling/Dealing With Baby Crickets

That's exactly what I was thinking! I think I'm going to set up like 3-4 cups, each with a days worth of crickets in there, and add food to each one, changing out food as needed, and just having little lunchable packs for my lil papi. Sounds like a super easy way to deal with the small crickets.

Now that's the kind of craftiness I needed! I'm definitely going to try this technique, thanks so much!

    Handling/Dealing With Baby Crickets

Hey all, so my veiled chameleon is two months old and I've only had him for a few days, he is quite tiny as you can imagine so I have been feeding him 1/4" crickets. This is the smallest chameleon I've ever had and by default the smallest crickets I've had to handle. With the larger crickets...

Just picked up this baby boy, he is a 2 month old veiled chameleon. I've been a longtime lurker on this site and have had chameleons before, and all of you have provided so many great resources for me and I wanted to share my new baby!
