Hey guys, so I noticed my little guy started shedding out of nowhere and when I checked him out he was eating pieces of dead skin off his body. Is this normal chameleon behavior?
Thanks!
Looks really nice! I'm gonna move my veiled to this size enclosure once he gets a little older. Question for you though, with this size, is 4 heat bulbs the way to go, I obviously don't know but it just seems like that may be overkill, what does that keep the temperature at up there?
So this is kind of a two-in-one question, I've never had a baby chameleon before and I'm really curious about growth rates, I understand that every chameleon is different but more or less how fast do they grow? At what age are they considered adults and full grown, and with that... at what ages...
I'm pretty sure apples and carrots are perfectly safe, I would put them in a cup/dish cut into small bite sized chameleon pieces, you can also use leafy greens like collards and mustard greens, I've had chameleons that love them, you could just put the whole leaf in there and the chameleon will...
That's exactly what I was thinking! I think I'm going to set up like 3-4 cups, each with a days worth of crickets in there, and add food to each one, changing out food as needed, and just having little lunchable packs for my lil papi. Sounds like a super easy way to deal with the small crickets.

Just picked up this baby boy, he is a 2 month old veiled chameleon. I've been a longtime lurker on this site and have had chameleons before, and all of you have provided so many great resources for me and I wanted to share my new baby!
