Humidifiers - best kind and where to buy?

I need to get a humidifier for Charma's tank. I just started working again, and my boyfriend is out of town, so it's hard to keep her humidity up while I'm gone if my family forgets to mist. I've been thinking about getting a humidifier for a while now, and I need to find one fairly inexpensive...

    Accidental ingestion of feces

So, I fed my chameleon, and noticed immediately after I put the crickets in there (I don't cup feed, still haven't figured that out) that there was drippings in the corner. I watched, disgusted, as two crickets went onto the feces and she snatched up a cricket.. And a poop... And ate them. Is...

    Dusting day.

So, today is dusting day. I usually let the dusted crickets jump out of the container I dust them in, today, I slipped and some powder ended up on the floor of her enclosure. Is that going to be a problem? I don't think she's going to eat it (she doesn't even like the taste on the...

Cup feeding.. I need all of the helps.

How do I cup feed, can I use like a dollar tree plastic cup, drill holes in the side and hang it on the side of the enclosure? Will the crickets escape? Do I just put enough for one days feeding? How many crickets is appropriate for one day? Do I need to drill holes in the bottom for drainage...

    Strange but important.

What do I do with Charma in the case of an earthquake? I live in California, and with the dry weather we've been having were bound for a big earthquake soon. What do I do with Charma in the case of a large earthquake? If you've never been in an earthquake, they're pretty crazy. Big ones can...

    Humidity?

With the screen sides it is harder than hell to keep humidity anywhere where it should be. The humidity for me drops in an hour from "tropical" to "desert" conditions, so I mist.. And hour later I mist again. Is there any tricks or tips to raising base line humidity without restricting air flow?

    Charma fell! Freaking out.

So, today was the first day charma, my 6 month old veiled, ever actually let me hold her, so I decided I would take her outside and let her bask in the sunlight. Well, some bratty kids came up, yelling and screaming about how cool she is and she freaked out. She very quickly ran up my arm...

    Too much uvb?

Can chameleons have too much uvb? My room stays fairly cold so charma likes to hang out at the very tippy top of her tank where the basking bulb is, the uvb light is next to it. Is it too close to her?

    Substrate removal

I have a fairly aggressive chameleon. I didn't name her charma for no reason. Charma is a *****. And she will bite. I made the mistake of putting a quarter inch of coconut shred in the bottom of her tank. I am going to switch it to paper towels or news paper, but I need to know how to get the...

    Shaking behavior. Very concerned.

This just started today, I know this because I watch her constantly, I'm amazed by her. She started shaking. All four feet, or three at least holding a branch. Tail curled, but not around anything, she was shaking side to side. My husband read that it could be a calcium deficiency. She is...

    Too much space?

    Angry cham

So, I've been reading that chameleons don't like being held. I've had charma for just over a week, almost a week and a half, and any time I put my hand in her life tank, to feed, etc, she hisses. Today, I very calmly and slowly put my hand in her tank and rested it on a branch next to...

    Crickets... Crickets everywhere!

So, I just got Charma some Gut Loaded crickets for dinner (I got 100 and a cricket keeper, plants, a back drop, a new lamp... I spend more on my pets than my bills!) Anyways. I got the crickets in the keeper.. and now I can't figure out how to get some into her tank. I obviously don't want too...

    Charma, happy and healthy

Charma is eating and drinking fine now! She's been home for about 4 days. She is looking like she's getting ready to shed. How often do chameleons shed? Also, when she's upset or mad, she turns very vibrant colors. I've read that males will be more vibrant, does that mean she is a he? She is...

    Chameleon not eating?

So, I got my chameleon yesterday, tried feeding her, she just hissed at it. My husband tried feeding her today to no avail. I'm assuming they take 2-3 days to adjust long enough to feel comfortable eating? I'll keep trying to feed her once a day. Any suggestions on how to feed?

    Charma Chameleon

I'm brand new to this forum. I just got Charma, a 10 month old veiled chameleon. I got her from petsmart and not a moment too soon. Although I'm a little mad that I gave that store money, I'm glad I saved her. She was in a 10x10x10 enclosure with only regular lights (no uvb, Uva or basking...
