Yes, I do believe she has eggs. She has a proper huge laying bin ready to go for when she needs it :)
Also, in this pic I was hovering my hand above her to make her "poof up" for the picture lol
Here is Jade the day I got her (Feb. 19) and then again today (May 28). They grow so unbelievably fast! The photo of her as a baby, she was on my 6yr old daughter's hand. She was so tiny! :P Looks like 2 completely different Chameleons!
She is my first chameleon, so I'm not 100% sure if she needs to lay but just by judging from her behaviour for the past 4 days it seems like she needs to lay. Here r the photos of her. The one with her being held was taken about 3 days ago, the one in her enclosure was today.
The bin was in her enclosure for weeks and only thing she ever did with it was eat the sand (she didn't get compacted luckily) and walk across it while pacing to get out of her enclosure. So I removed it and am placing her in it with it covered for more privacy as suggested by many ppl that have...
I am not breeding my female Veiled. She is about 7 months old now and I have noticed her pacing in the enclosure, whether it be at the top or bottom, she does it almost every day for the past 4 or 5 days now. She went off food but is still drinking as she is not dehydrated. Resembling the...
This morning she seems to be acting ok. She isn't as dark now either. Yesterday I moved the heat lamp to the corner that she had been hiding out in all day and that seemed to be maybe what she wanted. She was rubbing her face last night too, so she was just having a rough day yesterday getting...
Nope, her nails are fine, crazy sharp too! On all 4 feet :) Could be the angle of the photo perhaps. She has a crazy strong grip too, so her nails are kindda sinking into my skin lol
Yes I have a laying bin. As I mentioned in my original post, it's a very large and deep flower pot with her fake tree planted in it. With safe play sand kept damp at all times.
And here r the backs of her feet? :P
I've had Jade for several months now. She was just this tiny 2-3 month old baby when I got her. She's my first cham, but I have had and do have other reptiles. I'm unsure exactly if she is ill or just going through a rougher than normal shed. Her past sheds she gets a bit run down, little bit...
Here are some pics of the colors starting to show on her face. My camera doesn't do it justice, it doesn't look as "brown" when seen with the naked eye. More of a purplish-pink color. 2 pics in front of the kitchen window and one farther away and shaded from the light a bit.
I've had Jade for a month now! HOLY COW! The growth she's done in one month is insane! 2 Sheds in that one month! If the ppl I got her from were correct on her age when I got her then she is 4 months old now. 8" from nose to tip of tail and 35g this morning. She eats like a pig! Meal worms...
She is about 4-5 months old. Weighed her this morning at 17g. My first cham so still getting used to what health looks like with these guys. Had her for a month and she's just finishing her second shed with me. She eats 8-10 med crickets and about 8 meal worms a day. I provide food in her...
Her urates are white as usual. My thoughts too, either she is drinking when I'm not looking or that's y i was asking if her food would have enough water to keep her hydrated. :P Thanks.
Hey guys. New Cham owner here and I just had a question about water for Chams. I mist the enclosure twice daily and also have a DIY dripper for her as well that goes all day. I have only ever seen her drink once since getting her over a week ago. Her enclosure is in the living room as well and...
She is only about 3 months or so... I was cleaning her enclosure so took her out and put her in front of the window in the sun on the side of a small bucket. She walked off my hand and onto the bucket too quickly and slipped and fell to the floor. It was a 2 foot drop, I could hear her hit the...
I got her yesterday. Seems to be in good health, but she is my first Cham ever. She was the largest and most rambunctious of the 3 babies that were available. I believe i was told she is only 2-3 months old. Only about 2" long. She ate this morning, about 7 small crickets, later on i picked up...
