list of staple diet without crickets, roaches, or other potential infestation risk

Dubia roaches are really easy to breed and take care of and the big seller for me that makes me prefer them over crickets is unlike crickets they don't smell as bad if you keep there container clean and are quiet also. unlike crikets. but i will offer my chameleons crickets once in awhile but...

Be ware fellow breeders! Keep all your receipts the IRS is after us!

My wife works for the IRS and if i remember correctly she said if you made money over a certain amount then it must be claimed i'm not sure whats the amount but as long as you don't go over that then it doesn't need to be claimed. Kind of like selling cars where you are limited the number of...

Pascal-9 weeks old(3-4 inches) refusing to eat or drink

Catlea i'm not 100% sure about this but i believe i read somewhere maybe even from this forum that veiled chameleons are thought by many to be a more desert type species because of the country they originally come from so they would think the 10.0 uvb bulb compared to the 5.0 type is the...

    What did I do wrong?

in all fairness not all chameleons even panthers who tolerates being handled and don't stress as easy as other types may never wanna be handled ever. also these animals should be treated more as a admire from a distance type pet. your husbandry for your pet looks right so i don't see how MBD...

Waiting to be held to eat

Thinking about adopting a Jackson's any advice?

if your chameleon isn't use to being handled or is not quite use to your presence then i suggest giving it more space and being more slow and patient . if it starts rocking on the stem or dropping off a stem when you are near by it's probably stressed out , avoid ever trying to grab it, instead...

Thinking about adopting a Jackson's any advice?

diet is pretty much the same kind you would feed other chameleons or reptiles the climate they thrive on is a more montane region also they do not lay eggs and has live birth instead. in my opinion probably a good chameleon to start with for beginners.

Is is safe to put the bulbs directly on top of my mesh cage?

fire hazard if it's in direct contact with the mesh if it's vinyl but even if it's metal like the commonly used aluminum ones , chameleons can usually get around the top part of the cage since it's also a screen mesh. so i'd try mounting the heat lamp where it doesn't make any contact to avoid...

    Panther Chameleon needs new home

60watts is good enough but you should always have a shaded area on the lower part of the cage he can escape to if gets it's too hot and don't forget to mist him to help with humidity n hydration ... a dripper is also a good idea to offer water.
