Saliva bubbles and one eye closed

I don’t believe he listened to the lungs. Checked out the inside of his mouth thoroughly as well as eyes - of course his eye was opened and looked fine today after he had been favoring it the last two days so that is at least good. He said to let him know if I doesn’t see progress over the next...

Saliva bubbles and one eye closed

Vet told me more outside time, and more hydration. I have a mist king but will also implement more dripping and get him in his outdoor enclosure more often. Will monitor and bring him back if needed. He agreed shed most likely was the eye issue

Saliva bubbles and one eye closed

I’ve heard him gasp a couple of times but not super frequent. But definitely has had excessive saliva it seems for a few weeks now. Not really gaping though. Today during the day he basically went to bed and was very dull and dark which scared me and prompted me to call the vet ASAP. Hoping the...

Saliva bubbles and one eye closed

I noticed an occasional saliva build up, and it has started to bubble out the side of his mouth recently. Additionally the last day or two he has had his right eye closed and scratching even after shed. Could this be related? I do have a vet apt scheduled for 9am tomorrow in hopes to address any...

Panther saves his poops for freeroam time?

I decided to start letting him free roam once a week or so by connecting a vine to his open cage leading to a few nice potted, safe plants. I noticed him pooping less often, almost a week in between possibly. Then as soon as I decided to let him free roam again, he went right as he exited the...

Little bugs in my panthers bioactive enclosure. Help!

Thank you all! To confirm are the little worms just the larvae stage of the scale? Or is that a separate problem 🤣

Little bugs in my panthers bioactive enclosure. Help!

They are sort of attached, but do move easily when I apply some pressure with my nail. They don’t seem to be mobile, at least to the eye. Here are more pictures of the tiny worms I see hanging from various leaves, and the oval ones. Idk if they are the same maybe in different stages.

Little bugs in my panthers bioactive enclosure. Help!

Will the mantises eat the small non-moving looking mites? Or maybe those and the worms are the same bug, but different stages…

Little bugs in my panthers bioactive enclosure. Help!

Hello all, so I noticed one of my plants not doing so well so I took a closer look to find there are little mite looking bugs, as well as tiny little worms (which are hanging by little silk threads) in my enclosure sadly. Pictures are here of the mites and also a tiny worm. Now my potted plants...

    Is my upgraded lighting okay?

Is only having the quad bulb sufficient for basking when temps can reach 80-85 at the top of the reachable enclosure? Without the clear cover and the 6500ks and UVB of course

    Is my upgraded lighting okay?

I noticed the temps all across the top of the enclosure seem warmer than usual, in the 80s, and he isn’t in his basking spot hardly at all, so I am thinking this large quad fixture may be going back to the store. Is that similar to your issue of getting temps right with the quad? Going to raise...

    Is my upgraded lighting okay?

The top of my enclosure is actually 0.5” spaced coated metal garden mesh, so it should let lots of UV though. My meter arrives tomorrow so I will check it all out!

    Is my upgraded lighting okay?

Thank you for the advice. For now I have put my old 24” t5 5.0 under the blue actinic while I wait for my additional bulbs to come in, to supplement UV and block some of the blue.

    Is my upgraded lighting okay?

Sounds good, I will be putting 6500ks in place of the 2x12,000ks and the blue actinic. Also yes there is a clear cover over the light which was why I was also concerned and bought the UV meter which should be here tomorrow. There is a reflector that curves slightly between each bulb as well in...
