He's a beautiful guy! I am a new cham owner as well, and worry all the time about the slightest change in behavior. He does not look skinny, I guess he's just a picky eater. I have been using lindasgonebuggy.com for my feeders, she sells the perfect items for younger chams, and for keepers...
Hello,
I have been a little worried lately because a bump showed up on the base of the tail of my cham. At first I thought it was of course his bum, but today a bright red puff came out of it then went back in, I got really worried because I thought he was bleeding. Is everything OK? His...
Ive been acting the same way! It's been 2 weeks, and Remy is growing like crazy, eating, pooping, basking. I've been inspecting poop and sitting in from of the cage just to observe and make sure he is comfortable!
I was just there as well and saw 2 young male veiled in the same enclosure, which is barely big enough for two... there were biting and fighting each other when not charging the glass to fight reflections. Both looked so stressed and scared.
From what I have read, it's better to leave the floor bare, when hunting they can possibly cut their tongues on sharp mats or pick up and eat loose items. For cleaning, warm water and dish soap is OK, that's what was recommended to me.
My heart goes out to you and your extended cham fam. It is awful to know that people will steal just about anything. Growing up and living in NYC, I witnessed the worst of humanity, and I understand tragedy. I hope that your little ones are able to recover and that the rest of your family is...
Thank you so much! I was a little concerned he was getting cold and looking for heat! He has been on every branch and vine in the enclosure so far, and seems to really enjoy zooming around and exploring when not basking. I guess I am just being an over-protective dad!
Hello and welcome! These forums are wonderful for us newbs! Take the time and read through all the care sheets carefully, and check the sticky threads on the forums. Everything you need to get started is there, my new guy arrived this week, and after doing the research and having everything...
Hello all! I have just woken up from night 2 with my new buddy Remy. Yesterday morning and this morning, when I woke up and went to check on the lights/timer, I noticed Remy was clinging to the top of the cage. He was sleeping, but I can't imagine holding onto the screen mesh all night is...
Hello everyone! Meet Remy, he arrived yesterday from CA to NC and has already settled in, is eating crickets and had a silkworm! He has been exploring his enclosure, and really likes his basking spot He is a 4 month old Ambilobe Panther
He is 4 months old, thanks!! Really seems to have found it right at home, hes cruising around the enclosure, hunting, drinking, and pooping! What an awesome guy to watch! I am thinking of naming him Remy, or Nero, or Hendrix.... any thoughts?
