I made the earliest appointment for Wednesday. Do you happen to know what this is? Anything else I can do while I wait until Wednesday to take him in? Thanks so much.
I took my veiled chameleon out of his cage today and noticed something hard and black stuck in his vent. My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon. We were gone for a week while my husbands parents watched our chameleons. I asked them about the mass and they said that Kaiju (my veiled)...
Her cage is in between a male veiled chameleon and a male panther chameleon.
We have tried blocking her view from them, but her odd coloration persists.
Would you recommend moving her cage away from the others?
Thanks, also, when we take her out or interact with her in any way she...
We got this female panther Cham 4-5 months ago and she just recently started showing colors that consist of dark grays and black spots. We just changed her UVB bulb in fear that her other one had gone out. Any thoughts? Here's a picture of Sour Patch. She's been eating decently and staying hydrated.
We got this guy about a month ago and the breeder we got him from said he was an Ambilobe but I think he may be a different locale. Possibly ambanja or ambato. Thoughts? Thanks so much!
I have a panther Cham that looks very similar to this Ambato but I'm having trouble understand the difference. This is Gojira. Ambato to or ambanja? Or neither?
Do you hear popping noises when she breathes with her mouth gaped open? If so you might have the beginning signs of a respiratory infection. And I agree with Lazy Boy, I feed all my chams mid morning so their food has time to digest.
Thanks so much! The breeder didn't really specify their locale but on their website it says Ambilobe but I will make sure to contact them and ask them. Thanks again!
I have a female veiled and she's actually gravid right now. I put a lay bin in her enclosure to ensure that she has the right laying environment. Anyways, when my female is gravid she has these 2 jellybean shaped bumps on her lower back closer to her tail. My female also has a different color...
I've had my fair share of eye problems with my 4 Chams and that doesn't look like a deficiency to me. The swolleness of his eyes look like he's bulging them out to get a foreign object out of his eye. Maybe try flushing his eyes with saline solution or elongating his mistings? But if you noticed...
I agree. My panther chams both took a little bit to adjust when we first got them and they didnt eat for a few days. Now if you start to see your cham losing weight and being lethargic (sleeping during the day) you might want to contact your reptile vet. Other than that he's probably just adjusting.
