    constipation?

My guy has the same undiagnosed problem. He is only pooping once a month right now! His last poop was over two weeks ago...I was told to use a singular drop of mineral oil to help my guy go, but also not to do it too often. That helped the one time I tried it. I hope your cham does better!

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

Here is a photo of him from when he woke up, though he does look a little better now. Also I know that his eyes look a little sunken but I don't see how that could be dehydration since I mist so often...

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

I will post a picture when I get home but I don't think that will be until tomorrow. Also it should be noted that he is not a fan of having his photo taken so that usually makes him look kind of off anyways

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

This is my third bulb since I got him almost two years ago. I had set a reminder in my phone to tell me to change the bulb every 6 months but my phone malfunctioned and I had the bulb in for almost 8 months instead of 6.

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

I do change his food quite often. Usually he loves to hunt his prey but lately he will only eat if I hold something right in front of his face. He still eats, but only every few days. I can try to get a higher watt bulb. I can't remember the wattage on the one that I have right now but I think...

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

I know that the temps are a little low but I'm not really sure how to raise them at this point... It's just a rather cold time of the year where I am. It gets much warmer in the summer. I can try and get him to a vet this week but I am just not really sure how to transport him and such since its...

Does my Cham need to see a vet?

Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Male Ambilobe named Marshal Mittens, almost 2 years old. Handling - Hardly ever since it seems to stress him out. Maybe once a month but probably not even that. Feeding - Usually gut loaded crickets dusted in calcium w/o D3, but supplemented with occasional...

    Help

You need to try your best to get him to a vet ASAP. Until you can get to a vet I would make sure to keep it humid and spray the cage down often. It doesn't look like there are many leaves for it to drink off of and its eyes are very sunken... I hope he makes it through the night

    Chameleon isn't pooping

I'm not sure if it would help or not. That's the only reason I haven't brought him to a vet already. Thanks for the styrofoam box suggestion. If I end up going I will be sure to try that :)

He is drinking and eating but he isn't drinking as much as he normally does as far as I can tell. I think it was bounty but I am not really sure to be honest.

    Chameleon isn't pooping

So a few weeks ago my chameleon ingested a small piece of paper towel. I spoke with a couple other people who said that he would likely be fine and that I should wait for it to pass. Here I am almost three weeks later and he still hasn't pooped. Now I am very worried. It is very dry right now...

    chameleon ate paper towel

Soooo update: here we are almost a month later and Marshal still hasn't pooped since the 24th. I haven't brought him to the vet yet because I have been working with a local breeder I know. I have tried showers and horn worms plus I am misting him almost every 15 minutes. He looks a little...

    chameleon ate paper towel

Since I didn't see him actually grab it, I'm not sure how big it was, but there wasn't any cleaner on it or anything. I was just wiping out the excess moisture. I was kind thinking it would break down but he's my first reptile and I constantly worry about him. Thanks for the responses! I will...

    chameleon ate paper towel

So today I was wiping out my chameleons cage, which I do almost everyday. I left a piece of paper towel in the cage, walked away for a few seconds, and when I came back he had the paper towel in his mouth and swallowed it. It was a considerable size piece if paper towel. Will he be okay or do I...

    Please help me out here!

I haven't been gut loading with fruits and veggies since I have been using Repashy bug burger mix. Should I use the fruits and veggies in addition or alternately? Also, I have heard about the shower idea, but my little guy does not love me too much and really hates being handled so I wasn't sure...

Thank You! That link was helpful. Marshal Mittens is almost 8 months old. I have had him since he was 3 Months. He is a blue barred Ambilobe and he lives in a 2' X 2' X 4' mesh enclosure with a live tree and some fake vines. I feed him around 15 crickets a day (I've tried super worms but he...
