    Baby panther choked, now struggling

Sadly Donut passed away last night. I feel horribly guilty, frustrated and sad.

    Baby panther choked, now struggling

Is it common for symptoms to come on so suddenly with an overdose? With the choking incident I was sure that had to be the cause...like maybe his tongue is hurt. And since eyes and tongue work together he's closing his eyes.... not discounting the supplement issue. Obviously that is an issue and...

    Baby enclosures

What an awesome set up! He is eyes closed and barely moving during the day. :( I have moved him into a smaller house where he can find his food better but he is not interested. I can't even force feed him due to his size. I'm distraught and just watching him slowly deteriorate. It's awful.

    Baby panther choked, now struggling

My concern about taking him to a vet is that he is so small and so stressed I fear just the journey there will do him in. And I'm not sure what a vet can do for such a tiny guy. If it is a cut - what can be done?

    Baby panther choked, now struggling

Yes he is absolutely the cutest! I am major stressing over him right now and am so afraid I'll wake up to a dead baby cham. He eyeballed a cricket today and acted like he wanted to shoot his tongue at it but never did. I'm worried he isn't seeing well now either. He isn't focusing his eyes on...

    Baby panther choked, now struggling

Hello! Thanks for responding. I have to t5ho uvb but it is not lifted off the top and he does hang upside down underneath it. I will turn the heat lamp off immediately as he does seem dehydrated. He is in the large 24x24x48 enclosure but I bought the smaller one to see if that is better for him...

    Baby panther choked, now struggling

I have a 2 month old panther chameleon. When I got him the breeder said he was about a month old. I'm not sure I believe that and he has barely grown despite eating well. Anyway - Donut was doing very well but I ran out of crickets. My own stupid fault. While waiting for another order I bought...

    Chameleon isn't eating much

I think Gonzo's main problem has been dehydration. He is eating worms and I got him some grasshoppers in a can. Still going to work on crickets but I think not having his tongue working properly he hasn't been able to catch them. Even though I spray his cage several times a day I don't think it...

Thank you! You guys are amazing! Thank you for the information! I've made a to-do list and shopping list and will get Gonzo what he needs. Also turns out the vet I go to for my other animals does exotics so will make an appointment on Monday. Will Gonzo regain use of his tongue? Molly

Thank you! I will take the night light off and dust at all feedings. I had read about OD's on dusting so that's why I did every other day. Also will find a vet. Thanks for the reply! Open to anything anyone else has to say! Like I said I am new at chameleons and only want what's best for my...

    Chameleon isn't eating much

Hi All! I am a first time chameleon owner. My veiled male is about 1 year old. He used to eat non stop but for the past few weeks he's been slow about it. Is this normal? I used to throw 2 dozen crickets in his tank and he'd eat them within 24 hours. Now he takes about 2 weeks to eat them. (I...
