    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I'm sorry to hear that. Any idea what the popping sound is? I hope he starts feeling better soon.

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I was surprised too. The vet said it was stronger and to only give it to him every 48 hrs. He's happy because even with the chicken flavor added, he hates getting his meds. So every other day is better than every day! Are you seeing improvement in your chameleon's condition?

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I'm not sure if he's getting better or worse. He has been on meds for 4 days (he gets his meds every other day). I have his lights going out at 6:00 and had his last misting at 4:00. I've been trying different things to boost his night time humidity levels. I recently changed his last...

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I took my guy to the vet yesterday and they confirmed it was a RI. The vet also said that another 4 or 5 days of Baytril would have probably finished the infection off. He's back on the meds for 30 days.

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

Thanks for all the replies. I will keep you guys posted. On a side note, he is currently acting very normal except for the occasional exhaling through the mouth. He moves around his enclosure a good bit. He is eating a lot, drinking and his poops are solid and urates white. I am assuming...

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

Any idea what would be stronger than Baytril? I guess I'll see what the vet says Monday.

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I think it was baytril. If I didn't give it to him long enough, do you think it would take 3 weeks to show up again?

    Looks like respiratory infection...again

I forgot to mention that both times this has happened, it's been around the time of a shed. I don't know if that makes any difference or not.

Eating too much a bad thing?

I have his light schedule set for 6-6. I feed him around 6:30 and put around 15 small roaches in his cup. Until lately, he would still have 1 or 2 left at the end of the day. The last couple of days, all 15 are gone by 9:00 or so. I add 5-6 more and he eats those by noon. Today I gave him a...

Eating too much a bad thing?

Thanks for the replies. Also, I should stop feeding him around mid day so that he has time to digest the food by lights out, correct?

Eating too much a bad thing?

I have 5-6 month old Panther chameleon. The last few days he has been eating a ton. Today he ate about 20 small dubia roaches and 2 super worms. I've read that you let juveniles eat as much as they want. However, that seems to be alot. Is this a problem?

    Extremely thristy

I have a digital wifi one. The sensor is near the middle of the cage. Right now I am misting 6 times for a total of 14 minutes. I have a schefflera in the bottom and a pothos with some long vines that go all the way to the bottom of the cage hanging in the top.

    Worms in Dubia colony

I'll try to get a better picture tonight when I get home. I haven't seen any other types of bugs in the container.

    Worms in Dubia colony

So I started a new Dubia colony a couple of weeks ago. Besides adding food and water, I have pretty much left them alone. I just moved the egg crates and see if I saw any babies and I found worms in the frass. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Should I clean the tub out immediately?

    Extremely thristy

Thanks for the information. I almost feel like I'm misting too much, but it does dry quickly. I just hate watching him licking dry branches looking for water and hour after misting and I know it will be another hour before the next one. The humidity stays around 60-70% during the day and...

    Extremely thristy

I have a new Panther chameleon that is about 4-5 months old. I've only had him less than a week, so I apologize in advance for asking so many questions. He is in a 2x2x4 reptibreeze enclosure and gets misted (MistKing) every 2 hours for at least 2 minutes each misting. I have 2 nozzles in the...
