    Fireplace

I have a wood burner in my living room and I keep 2 giant leaf tail geckos (Uroplatus) and I have no issues. I live in a split level and the Chams are up and down a level without issues (dehydration).

Went to sleep with 3 crickets

I have gotten my Chams used to either feeding from a container or my hand. IMO the benefits are monitoring food intake and no loose crickets at lights out.

Why is my veiled chameleon grey?

FYI my Veiled is the same color and reacts the same, take him out and he's brilliant and put him in and he's grey. Funny thing is, when he was in a smaller cage he was more colorful. I moved him to a bigger cage and he went grey. The only thing that changed was the location of his cage. It is...

    Critique My Enclosure!

I would only add vines. It looks very natural and I think the vines would maintain that, dowels will take away from it.

You just got him today? Give him a chance to settle in. Get UVB ASAP but if you got him today I wouldn't say that's the problem.

    Dubia Roaches vs Mealworms

From what I know, and I'm no expert, the meal worms should only be offered as a treat. They are high in fat and there exo skeleton in not easily digested. I'm sure others will chime in. Dubias are a great source of protein and can be used as a staple.

    Ambilobe

Love him! Haha. My veiled is wicked but getting better after 4 months of trying to get him to like me. Feeding them by hand helps. IMHO.

    Feeding options

Never had a problem with either of mine. I read that instead of hanging the cup, you can take a tall Tupperware and glue a nice wide cover to the bottom. That will prevent the Tupperware from falling if your Cham stands or puts weight on it. I did that in the begging and it worked great but...

My panther at 5 months has color, especially when he flares up. I thought the dark coloring was kinda a basking and stressed look for them????
