Where did you get that huge drainage tray?
Your enclosure came out gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing.
Did you by chance get your cham from the Harmse family? Your guy looks just like mine. He's not the one pictured in my profile.
To those of you who build your own custom enclosures with fixed items inside that can't be moved around... How do you manage to keep it clean?
I'm about to build my own and want to be sure to plan well. Let me know if you have any pointers on what to/not to do.
I'm going to be repurposing a...
Aw, that's awesome! I hope that he calms down too. He used to be so sweet, until just a few weeks ago.
His awesome breeder ;) who has his parents and stays in touch with his customers who have others from same parents thinks it's just a teenage moody stage, and that's probably part of it. He...
I posted this thread because my new lil guy seems a bit stressed recently about care rides even though he had gotten so used to it already and I'm not used to that because my last guy was so easy going. I'm wondering if I should get him a larger cage than what I've been using when I transport...
Yeah, I bring my current one outside and just hang out in the front or back yard or on a tree. Other times I go for a walk with him and just hold him. I don't let him touch the ground. When we go outside his colors are very bright and he is very calm. He doesn't seem stressed at all. When he's...
I truly appreciate everyone's input!
Thanks too for not attacking me. Sometimes people get mean when you do something they view as wrong.
I'm taking everyone's input into account and will try all the changes suggested because I really love my lil' guy.
I use distilled water from the store. :) I will change his light fixture. The pet store owner I bought the current fixture from recommended it to me and I thought I'd give it a try. It's not what I used for my last cham though.
#1: I was thinking about upgrading him in about a month. I will try to do it ASAP instead.
For #2, I have been wondering exactly that! Thank you!
#3: Haha! I like that quote. I will remember it. Ok, I will add more stuff tonight! The moodiness is new so, maybe the foliage was OK before, but...
That's a fair point. I figured and was told by a few experienced owners that as a baby he would get acclimated to it. But, I've started wondering... I don't think they're wrong, but every cham is different. My last cham had no issue with car rides. I took him on lil' outings frequently...
I live in 2 places... one for work & one for school. I own a restaurant and go to college full time and am back and forth frequently. But, if I'm going to be away from him overnight and there's no one to feed him in the morning I bring him with me. I only transport him about once every 2 weeks...
Hi everyone! This is going to be a bit long...
So, I have a 6-month-old male panther cham, Camelot. He is very very grumpy. lol. My last cham was the sweetest thing and I know they all have different personalities and some just don't like being handled, but I don't think that's it. I'm hoping...
