    background ideas?

Thanks guys. I'll check those out. And its just for asthetic reasons. I have the enclosure in the living room. just trying to hide the wires and the mistking tubes behind it.

    background ideas?

Looking for ideas for a background for a 24"x24"48" enclosure. I'm leaning towards using the Zoo Med Natural Cork Tile background (18"x24"). I'm thinking of just getting three of them, cutting one to size, and just stacking them up. But I'm worried that it'll make one side heavy and will cause...

curious if anyone has refused a cham sale ???

Yessss! Haha. Dexter is my first chameleon. I keep in touch with the breeder I got him from. Also find myself logging in to the forum everyday to pick up some pointers. I'm also the annoying guy who's been asking about lighting, enclosure stands, misting schedule, and plants. I'm in the...

    New to Chameleons

I don't see a spur. He might be a she. Might want to research laying bins. Haha. Lots of luck to you.

    Ficus problems.

Yeah. The plants are on pots with drain holes. And they're not on the bottom of the screen. I have them propped up a good 6 inches off the bottom of the cage (make cleaning easier). So the excess water does run off them.

    Ficus problems.

Nope. That's the first time I've heard of that. Can you elaborate on that? I want to try it. I've repotted mine. And used organic soil. But no mentions of rocks on the other recommendations I've read.

    Apollo my buddy:)

I, personally, use photobucket. It's free. I upload the pictures there. Once you upload the pictures there the pictures will have a options for links. Click on the IMG link (recommended for forums) and it will automatically copy that link. Just paste the link on a post and it will embed the image.

    Ficus problems.

I have a 4 foot Hawaiian Ficus that he free ranges on. No problem with that one. But I want a branchy tree for his cage too. Hehe.

    My Panther Chameleons Eating Roaches

You are officially a bigger man that I am. I don't even touch crickets...let alone cockroaches. Feeding tongs!! Haha.

    Ficus problems.

Yeah. I'm a little iffy about changing the settings now. Dexter's doing well with the settings now. I want a ficus to thrive there...but not at the expense of Dexter's well being. Hehe. But my new enclosure should be arriving soon. Maybe a change is in order.

Man. Just when I'm starting to be proud of Dexter's red bars.....I come across this picture. **shakes head**. I'm so jelly! Those are very clean bars

    What do you guys think???

Yeah. That's a little too rich for my blood. Definitely a beautiful panther though. I was able to get a baby Ambilobe, MistKing, enclosure, and accessories for less.

    Ficus problems.

I can't seem to be able to get a Ficus Benjamina to thrive in my enclosure. I have 2 dead ones in there right now while the other Pothos plants I have are doing very well. Any input? The only thing I can think of is that I may be over-watering them with my misting system. I have my MistKing set...

Do chameleons like to be handled

I have an 8 month old Ambilobe. Very friendly. Crawls out to be everytime I open his enclosure. I handle him everyday but not for long periods of time though. I pretty much just let him crawl on me from his enclosure and walk him to his free range plant.

    Lighting Suggestions?

Yeah. I'll probably end up sticking to it when I get it. Just exploring other options. It doesn't seem to be as readily available here in the states compared to the UK. If it craps out on me I want to be able to run to a local petstore for a quick replacement.

    Lighting Suggestions?

Hi. I'm upgrading to a full 24"x24"x48" from an 18"x18"x36" one. I'm planning on using the old heat dome for the basking spot. Although I am thinking about upgrading my UVB light source. Hoping for any recommendations. I'm leaning towards the {24" HO T5 Double Bulb fixture with Arcadia 6%...
