Hi all!
I'm building a new enclosure for my panther and I'm looking for some recommendations for waterproofing my timber, a sealant that will obviously last and not give off anything toxic.
UK based, sorry any helpful Americans!
Thanks for any help!
I'll have a look for hornworms!
The mister goes on for 10-20mins every hour and I try and spray him when it's on so that the tank dries out in between mistings.
I've got a litre sports bottle with holes poked in the bottom that drips onto his plant, but even when using that his eyes are...
Hi all,
My panther cham is drinking and his tank is averaging between 60-70% humidity, but his urate is still orange and his eyes are sunken. I'm at home a lot, so I spray him A LOT, but it's obviously not enough and he's been like this for a while. He eats ok, he's still growing, his casque...
Haha phew, thank goodness I'd already seen pictures of sperm plugs otherwise I think I would have freaked out even more.
I guess it's a good thing, a sign that he's happy...
Hi all, my 5mo panther cham has recently been leaving me little gifts, which look a lot like pics of sperm plugs that I have seen.
I'm a bit concerned, cos I thought he was a bit young to be acting so grown up... and he also leaves them a LOT! 2 or 3 every week. Is this normal? Is it just...
I got my boy a devil's ivy plant (almost as tall as me!) from Homebase and he loves it - enough big leaves to hide amongst and a chunky stem for him to easily clamber up. Plus it's easy for me to look after :)
My 5mo panther cham has been doing the same a lot recently, and I'm wondering if it's because he can see his reflection. I've also just installed a mister and I think that sets him off too, the idiot. Anything new you've done to his environment? Is he in a class vivarium and able to see his...
Hi, sorry for the delayed reply - he was supposed to go to the vet monday, and then yesterday, but both times got cancelled cos of snow. The lump is in front of his turret, not inside, and he's not being cooperative with the camera, but i'll keep trying!
It's not affecting his behaviour at...
I'm so sorry for your loss, it's amazing how attached you get to these guys even when they seem to hate you! I know when I got my guy I thought I'd done all the research I could - it wasn't until I stumbled on this site that I suddenly realised I knew nothing. The pet store told me I would only...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - male panther, 4 months old, had him for just over a month now
Handling - one or twice a week, for cleaning or to see if he fancies a roam
Feeding - hoppers + crickets every day, about 5 of each, sometimes hand fed (if he's not grumpy). 1 or 2 wax worms once a...
Thanks guys! He's showing signs of some pretty strong colours when he's not basking or grumpy, so I was thinking (and hoping) male. Can't wait til he grows! :)
Hi guys, this is Jackie Chan, my 4 month old panther chameleon. The pet store said they were pretty sure he was a boy, but the vet today said more likely female.
Any help? I hope the photos are ok, the close-up's a bit creepy in a pervy kind of way, but I had to make the most of the...
