    Sad day

Today I came home and found my cham dead on the floor of the cage. She has been so lively and all droppings seemed normal. The room was warmer than usual. It usually stays around 73 F in the room and in the bottom of her cage. The basking spot is usually around 80. Today the room jumped up to 80...

    first eggs!!!??

She is about a year old. I am not sure if she has laid all eggs yet. She seems to be scared of me now . I am trying to get her to associate me with food again but she won't go for it. Perhaps with time.

    first eggs!!!??

She does have an appetite but does not seem to want to leave her basking spot. The only time she does move is when she goes to sleep. All the food I give is by hand. If it isn't close enough to her she won't go for it. When I move it closer she goes nuts. Other than that not much change.

My female veiled has been acting a little funny lately and just seemed to be a little more cranky than usual . She has also been avoiding food and everything. Today I came home to a cage that seemed empty at the time and a pile of sand where once it was flat. I kept my distance as to...

I got to kill my chameleon

If killing it is the only way you wish to go then I would say use a sharp knife or a hatchet. Try to seperate the head at the base of the skull. No pain if you do it fast enough. Chameleons are the type of pets that wind up going to the vet quite often. The setup could be used for a number of...

    New eating habits

I'm sure it does not help that I have a large hanging pitcher plant in view and let her climb on it when I get home from work. This is the plant she likes to be on when she eats.

Your Chameleon - veiled, female, unsure of age. 2 weeks in my care. Handling - I have only handled her a couple of times. Feeding - I feed her crickets, meal worms, carrots, apples. What amount? I feed around 8 crickets a day and offer some small carrot pieces. I do this around 5 pm. I give...
