Update
I just noticed that this thread was recently brought up in another thread regarding a pregnant Jacksons female. Thought it might be benefit others to follow up with an update:
In February Annie dropped several slugs. After which she never looked better! She was bright green...
So cute!!!!
I was thinking "Fred" and "Wilma!" ...and then saw you posted that these names are being considered... so my vote is for the Flinstones names! :D
I saw that ad for the pygmies and was very tempted... so glad you are getting them!!! :) Looking forward to seeing pictures of them in this little paradise you created!!!
CAREFUL! Can cause burns....
I started using these lights about a month ago on all my lizard and chameleon enclosures. They put off less light and heat a much smaller area. All my temps were checked with a digital temperature gun. Problem is, the temp gun only does surface temperature...
Just found this thread...
Wow, thanks so much Justin! In case anyone is in search of chameleon/lizard boarding you can contact me directly via PM. OR have a peak at my new website:

Baby Veiled Chameleons produced by hobby breeders. Our eggs were incubated at low temperatures for 8 months to produce very large healthy babies.
Baby Chameleons hatched February 1st. These guys are very big for their age! Cup/bowl trained and feeding well on 5 different types of insects...
Update
I've had this setup running for a few months now...and just wanted to say its still working great! Even though the drain sits in the middle of the tank, it still drains and dries between mistings. I empty the catch basins twice a week and so far have not come across any issues.
Its funny because I had seen the original ad for this guy on the classifieds. (Back when he was living in the 30 gal fish tank.) I wanted to rescue him but did not have the time/space because I was looking after Camo & Isis (ChameleonMom's chameleons) over the winter break. Isis had just had...
He is a male...you can tell by a "heel spur" or bump at the back of his heel. Also the colors (vertical yellow bars) clearly show he is a male.
Sleeping during the day is a sign of illness. Chameleons do not cuddle. This guy should see a vet ASAP.
Just found this thread (and subscribed!) So cool that you are actually doing this! You know...we are all going to be on your case if you don't post a picture EVERY day! No pressure or anything! ;)
Its great to hear you rescued this poor little guy. :)
It looks like he has MBD. (From the shape of his front arms.) I think your best plan of action would be to take him to a reptile vet.
MBD is a degenerative disease caused by poor ratio of Calcium and Phosphorus in the chameleon’s body...
First I want to say that advice over a forum should never replace taking an animal to the vet. My purpose of sharing was to give you an idea of what the problem may be.... but I still recommend getting your little girl x-rayed to find out whats really going on.
My girl never showed any...
Long story short this happened to my female jacksons chameleon the day i rescued her. I panicked and took her to a vet ASAP. The vet x-rayed her and discovered she has a mild case of MBD from lack of UVB and supplements by the previous owner. MBD attacks the nerves and causes involuntary leg...
