get an arcadia light and try to take care of it fast. I had an iguana as a kid that got it BAD where he stunted his growth and we had to give him shots every day. Sad to say my parents bought a 9 year old an iguana. He lived for another 20 years though but was very small, jaw was messed up and...
i run an arcadia and a house bulb and that works fine.
I am adding in more plant lights at the bottom of my cage though because my cage is so large some plants dont get proper lighting but for him that works perfect.
wow if you cant properly afford an animal you should not have one. That includes housing, feeding, and vet bills.
I have two dogs as well that were free but have racked up 3-4k in vet bills because i do not spare any moment with my dogs health. Same goes with my cham. 1 week of owning him...

haha the cuts are actually horrible, i used a lil saw thats for multi use. The wood was rock hard so it was a pain in the ***. could not keep it straight. If you see close ups of the side windows its off, but were putting a framed molding to hide it in.
The glass im not sure what type of...
i don't think ventilation will be an issue, the exo terra's have plenty of ventilation in them and chameleons do fine in them. its not sealed like a aquarium. There are slight gaps in the doors so if i got crickets id have to fix that but, plenty of air flow. Also where I live is very dry, so...
instead of doing screen sides i got plexyglass and had them drill holes in it. In the back there is also a few holes you can not see for more ventilation. They are not screened yet, but he eats dubias and worms so im not worried about them getting out. There should be plenty of air flow though...
Chameleons must attract all the good looking girls.. Cause your all very pretty, no ill intention, Married man and my wife loves Chameleons and is beautiful :)
i would look for a small used cage or just buy it then sale it here then go up to a larger cage. When I first got mine he liked to hide often and even in a 18x36 he had a hard time finding his food and i had to hand feed him.
But at 4 months its way to small for him. Only reason why i say...
depending where you live go find your own branches and sterilize them and strip the bark. Its takes work but you can save 100$ we have tons of manzietta where i live so its easy.
with my lil guy every morning i cook my breakfast and get my coffee ready. Then I sit there and eat my breakfast and hand feed him meal worms. He knows when its feeding time. He still doesnt like to be held but i will put a finger in his cage and get him to get both his hands on my finger and...
I am currently building a custom cage for my Panther out of an old cabinet. I want to do a rock background from foam and then mold the plants into the back ground so nothing is sitting on the ground. 95% of his food keep in mind is in a feeder cup, i dont feed crickets just worms and roaches...
